We’re delighted to announce a new publication for flute from Parish Publications:

A Little Jazz Suite by Ian Higginson

This short work consists of seven movements, all of which contain varying degrees of jazz influence. All the movements are contrasting in style, tempo, dynamics, articulation and length and the work can be performed in recital equally affectively as a whole or as separate movements. The difficulty level ranges from moderately easy through to moderately difficult but all are intended to be fun both to perform and to listen to.

**NEW PUBLICATION** Originally published as an SATB anthem in Evening Liturgy (ECS252), this arrangement was written for the Choristers of Salisbury Cathedral. It is recorded on their CD - Angels' Song: https://griffinrecords.co.uk/2017/12/19/angels-song-gccd-4020/

The text is taken from Walter Hliton's brief treatise "Of Angel's Song". Hilton, an English Augustinian mystic born around 1340–1345, authored several spiritual works and in this work, he addresses how one can discern a true mystical experience from a false one and the conditions necessary for recognising the authentic voice of angels.
