Welcome to our page! Based in Dorset, we produce video for a diverse range of clients. We work with individuals, businesses, schools and specialise in production work for voluntary and public sector organisations. This work includes evaluation films, films for funding applications, training films and videos that raise the profile of organisations and the projects they run.
We believe in using video and filmmaking to empower marginalised groups and pride ourselves on articulating the voices of “real people” in many of the films we make.
When Pageant Productions first began, we worked in the theatre industry providing technical production support, but it wasn’t long before we started offering video production services as well. In 2011 the video production side of things took over when for the next few years we spent the majority of our time filming and live streaming poker tournaments throughout Europe. We learned a lot about live streaming but we wanted to do more and in 2014 we began working for Access Dorset, a disability rights charity in Bournemouth. This diverse work quickly took over from poker and our work with Access Dorset opened our eyes to the possibilities and opportunities there were to use video as a tool for bringing communities together, engaging with people and giving those on the fringes of society a voice. Our kind, flexible and empathic way of working, combined with a growing knowledge of health and social care systems help us work with the disabled, disenfranchised and vulnerable people. These are skills we have developed and continue to develop as time goes on. In the last few years we have expanded the work we do in the voluntary sector working with a wide range of organisations offering production services, training, service user workshops, closed captioning, BSL interpretation and much more. Although we don’t limit our customer base, voluntary and public sectors have become sectors we specialise in.
