Owned and run by producer Paul Hunter, digital label Psh Recordings has been started with the aim of bringing people the best in upfront house music, hosting original material and remixes as well as collaborations with up and coming producers. Already gaining support from the more established names in the business, Psh Recordings' future looks very promising. So what makes Psh stand out?
‘Psh Re
cordings is about getting the best upfront dance music out there, whilst showcasing up and coming producers and remixers.’ Stand-out indeed, but for Paul it’s about finding a happy medium between having his own label and getting involved with the aforementioned talent. ‘I have always wanted to run my own label and get my own releases out there,’ enthuses Hunter, ‘as well as inviting other producers to join me in remixes and collaborations.’ It certainly sounds like this is a label that is going places. But there’s plenty of evidence to back this claim up. The future looks good for Psh. With the first release having come in January 2010, a full catalogue of releases will be hitting the bigger dance stores soon, and there is plenty of support coming from mainstream DJs. Not to mention the large number of remixes and collaborations with other producers that are lined up. It looks like being a big year for Psh Recordings.
