Music & Media Industries Opportunities in Yorkshire > recording studio, radio station, label, distribution, live events, enterprise support, artist development & courses. Higher Rhythm Ltd is a not-for-profit Music and Media Organisation based in Yorkshire, established in 2001

We provide music & media industry services and opportunities across the Yorkshire region including two recording studios,

a licensed radio station, a record label, digital distribution, events promotion, artist development programmes, enterprise support, courses (including national & higher national diplomas) and volunteering opportunities. Higher Rhythm is unique regionally, providing the entire music and radio industries in one place which offers a hub of opportunities that people can easily access to develop their knowledge, practice or careers. Place shouldn’t be a barrier to the music or media industries, and we aim to level the playing-field by assuring our opportunities are accessible to, and representative of the Yorkshire region’s communities, engaging people who live in towns and villages, as well as the cultural industry hot-spots of cities. Higher Rhythm also delivers a range of projects, working with local, national and international partners / funding bodies, to increase participation in the activities we provide and widen access to the music and media industries.

The Icons of Doncaster is a project which gives the people of Doncaster the opportunity to decide the local people, places, achievements and stories that matter most to them. The project is being run by Higher Rhythm through Sine FM and is funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.

People from Doncaster can get involved by telling us which local heritage should be recognised more widely. There are also further opportunities to get involved as volunteers and receive training.

Stage Invasion Artist Announcement: Cosmic21.

Comprising of siblings, Jess, Angus and Finlay; Cosmic21 play familiar pop and rock covers from the 1950s to the 2020s. They enjoy a wide variety of music but their particular influences include Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Stevie Wonder and Santana to name a few. Cosmic21 are in the process of creating their own music and hope to record very soon!
