From 26th November 2021, the global Lush brand will be turning its back on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Snapchat, until these platforms take action to provide a safer environment for users. This policy is rolling out across all the 48 countries where Lush operates.

In the same way that evidence against climate change was ignored and belittled for decades, concerns about the serious effects of social media are barely being acknowledged.

Lush, well known for being leaders rather than followers, has decided to address these serious issues now and to start by changing its own practices rather than waiting until others notice that there is actually a real problem.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Contract: for training purposes during October contract sizes will start at 4 hours per week. In November and December these contracts will increase to anywhere between 8-16 hours depending on availability of successful candidates.
Availability: You will need to be available for a minimum of one weekday and one weekend shift per week, but we are ideally looking for at least two weekday shifts. There will also be the opportunity for overtime closer to Christmas depending on availability and the needs of the business.

Salary: £10.50 per hour

Contract: 16 hours minimum, with the opportunity to flex up depending on the needs of the business. Must have a minimum of two days weekday availability as well as weekends.

Duration: permanent

THE SHOP:
Our new Supervisor would be responsible for developing, inspiring, and leading a diverse and experienced team of Sales Assistants into a new era of retail, as well as supporting the manager and trainee manager in building the business as we navigate out of the Covid 19 pandemic.

We have been lucky enough to receive an amazing 95% in our most recent mystery shop, and so our new Supervisor would be responsible for continuing to inspire our well established team to provide excellent customer service and to strive for the 100% mystery shop that we are capable of!

Our new Supervisor will need to have a passion for retail and developing others, and be able to lead from the front with excellent customer service. They will also need to be confident decision makers with excellent communication skills.

You’ve been busy! The Lush Green hub currently has a staggering 8.5 tonnes of bottles tops.

So, what’s next? Well, due to volume of bottle tops received, the Green hub will no longer be able to accept any more free-post donations but before you search for “help, I’ve got a mountain of bottle tops and nowhere to put them”, many local councils are now able to accept your plastic stash but check with them first.

And if they don’t, no problem - you're still more than welcome to drop off your personal collection of bottle tops at any Lush shop to be sent back to the Green hub

We've finally cracked it! As of today, Lush is going completely egg-free! Unconvinced that even the very best egg production is free from suffering, we have removed eggs from all of our products, replacing them with great ingredients such as linseed and aquafaba so you still get the best results.
