We’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone that came to Happy Tuesdays in 2025. Whether audience, performers or the fantastic team at Dubrek we have loved getting to know you all. We’ve had some brilliant nights and all our acts have all been amazing.
We are back on February 10th with a fantastic line up of awesome comedians.

Happy New Year!

Thankyou to everyone that has supported Dubrek in 2025. That’s you, that is!
If you want to discover new music then Dubrek is the place for you.
Our mission is to support and nurture artists through recording, rehearsal, mentoring and providing a space to perform. Or you can just grab a coffee and chill.

In the midst of the void - the space between Xmas and New Year - we bring you the January events guide for January 2026.

2026 is a special year for us as it marks 25 years of Dubrek Studios! The official birthday is Saturday May 30th and we’ll be doing something proper to mark the occasion so get the date into your calendar.

Tonight it’s the coolest Xmas party in town.
are playing live and DJing at Dubrek. £5 entry from 7pm. Pizza served till 10pm Bar open till 12.30am Kick the Xmas break off in style!

Today I was very happy to make a donation raised from the StarDisco event back in September (organised with Dom, Ian & Laurence) to in Derby.
DRS do amazing work in the city and I left feeling quite emotional knowing that we’ve been able to contribute towards the hugely impactful work they do.
An equal sized donation is also being made to the Young Futures charity based in Wirksworth who actively work with local children focusing on their mental well being.
StarDisco ticket profits all go to charity and we’ll be back in September 2026 for a mega party on a modern stone circle. Jayx

Free guitars for Christmas 🎄

7 guitars, all ready for a new home this festive period!

We would absolutely love to see these go to some youngsters who have shown an interest in guitar, but have not been able to start yet due to the initial financial out lay.

With the cost of living getting so high, putting £100 towards a kids hobby that might only last a month is understandably a big risk that many parents aren’t in a position to go for.

We’d love for this to be the catalyst for someone’s unexpected hobby for life, even if one kid goes on to make music in the future because of these we’d be absolutely made up.

All of them are in reasonable condition and working order, with decent strings and set up. They’re not quite the standard that we’d stock in the shop for one reason or another - but all perfectly usable and ready to go! 🎅

Feel free to share this with friends etc, these will go on a first come first serve basis. Anything left after Christmas will be donated to a local school for use there.
