Day 12: Derventio Housing Trust supported by NFU Mutual✨
Employees at NFU Mutual have decided to support Derventio Housing Trust’s annual Christmas campaign to spread cheer to its residents by delivering boxes of festive treats.
The team at NFU Mutual in Stratford-upon-Avon spent time assembling boxes of Christmassy treats so that people living in Derventio Housing Trust properties can get a taste of the festive spirit.
Derventio Housing Trust provides accommodation to around 1,000 people a year across the UK who would otherwise be homeless, including 63 in Warwickshire.

Day 11: The Bemrose School supporting Audrey's Charity✨
Audrey’s Charity has partnered with local Derby company Albatross Cars to donate two PS5 consoles — each complete with two games — to The Bemrose School, to recognise students’ hard work this Christmas.
The donation is part of an ongoing initiative by Audrey’s Charity to support local families during the cost-of-living crisis, which also includes the delivery of food hampers to families in need.
Staff at The Bemrose School also distributed 20 food hampers to families within the community, with generous support from both Audrey’s Charity and Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance(DF4TA).

Day 10: Respect Collaboration of Schools Christmas event at Kingsmead School in support of Save the Children UK ✨
Kingsmead School hosted a Christmas coffee morning on December 13, for parents and carers to enjoy hot drinks, cakes and a variety of festive activities. Guests got involved with the fun including a lucky dip, ‘Pin the Nose on the Reindeer’ game, and guessing the number of baubles in a jar.
A separate event was also held for Key Stage 4 students and in total, Respect Collaboration of Schools raised an impressive £80 for Save the Children.

Day 9: Royal School for the Deaf Derby supporting the Padley Centre✨
Royal School for the Deaf Derby are making a donation to the Padley Centre in Derby to help provide food parcels to families in need over Christmas.
Donations are being collected up until 20th December when they will be taken to the Padley Centre.
Padley Group supports and empowers those at risk of homelessness, poverty and social isolation to help to improve their lives.

Day 8: Allestree Woodlands School supporting Derby County Community Trust and Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance Reverse Advent Calendar ✨
Students at Allestree Woodlands School delivered more than 60 sacks of food to Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance (DF4TA) as part of Derby County Community Trust’s Reverse Advent Calendar Appeal.
Supporting those in need this Christmas, the campaign began on November 7 and over the course of 25 days, people collate a range of items which will provide a food parcel for members of the community who are facing food insecurity over the winter months.

Day 7: Lubrizol supporting ‘Give ... a few words’ ✨
Employees from Derbyshire science company Lubrizol created festive letters and crafts as part of the ‘Give … a few words’ campaign to bring cheer to care home residents this Christmas.
‘Give … a few words’ sees volunteers writing positive letters to care home residents in Yorkshire. At the other end of a letter is a person who just needs a few words to make their day a little bit brighter.

Day 6: JDR Group's festive appeal - donating to Audrey's Charity✨
JDR Group has donated a host of gifts, food and toys to Audrey’s Charity for its Christmas appeal.
Staff at digital marketing agency JDR Group collected the goodies as part of their annual bid to spread some festive cheer after choosing to support Derby-based Audrey’s Charity.
Audrey’s Charity supports local people and underprivileged families who are experiencing financial hardship, by giving them access to furniture, clothing, electrical goods and food.
It was set up by dad-of-four Earl Richards in 2017, who was inspired to make a difference to local families by his mum, who he also named the charity after. It has helped thousands of families in its time and is set to help many more this Christmas too.

Day 5: Derventio Housing Trust's festive appeal with Colleague Box ✨
Derventio Housing Trust, which helps people in the UK who might otherwise be homeless, has teamed up with Derby corporate gifting company Colleague Box for its Christmas appeal.
Colleague Box has put together a box full of festive treats to help provide some Christmas cheer to Derventio Housing Trust residents who often end up spending the day alone.
The appeal is calling on local people to pay for the festive treat boxes which are priced at £15 and contain a selection of Christmassy snacks.
The housing trust says with the help of generous donations it will be able to ensure none of its residents are missed off Santa’s list this Christmas.

Day 4: Sam's Superheroes Christmas raffle✨
Sam's Superheroes is running a raffle to raise money for research into FIRES, an aggressive and unforgiving condition which took the life of five-year-old Sam Liew, from Mickleover.
Sam's mum Rachel is trying to raise £50,000 and hopes her raffle will take the running total to the halfway point.
Prizes up for grabs include a gift box of Moët & Chandon, £150 Hobbs voucher, a Derby County signed shirt and an overnight stay, including dinner and breakfast at The Boot, in Repton.

Day 3: me & dee charity at Christmas✨Can you buy a present for a poorly child in hospital?
Christmas is a busy time for the me&dee charity. Next week, me&dee’s elves will be taking Christmas presents to poorly children stuck in local hospitals.
This year, nurses have said young babies and teenagers are particularly in need.
me&dee would be grateful for any contributions this Christmas to support children going through invasive treatment and facing uncertain futures.

Day 2: Care-leavers Christmas party appeal✨
Midlands rail firm MTMS helped host two annual Christmas parties to help young people who have left the care sector feel less alone and its annual appeal to raise money to fund the festivities has officially launched.
Funded by its 2024 Make a Difference campaign, the events are held to sprinkle some Christmas joy across the lives of young people from across the region during December.
The money raised pays for the food, musical entertainment and hampers full of presents at the parties, which take place in Burton and Derby for just under 200 16 to 25-year-olds who live independently after leaving the care system.
This year, teenagers and young people from East Staffordshire, South Derbyshire and Derby who have been through the care system were treated to a festive dinner and entertainment.

Day 1: Gillotts Funeral Directors Christmas Remembrance trees 🎄
Christmas Remembrance trees have been installed across all five Gillotts branches to help people pay tribute to a loved one.
Visit any Gillotts branch (in Stapleford, Eastwood, Kimberley, Heanor and Selston), fill out a tag with a message to a lost loved one and hang it on a tree, any time until December 25.
For every tag left on the trees, Gillotts are making a £1 donation to a local food bank.
