Acerca das Creative Mornings:
"In 2008, Tina Roth Eisenberg (Swissmiss) started CreativeMornings out of a desire for an ongoing, accessible event for New York’s creative community. The concept was simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month. Every event would be free of charge and open to anyone.
Today, attendees gather in cities around the world and online via Virtual FieldTrips to enjoy creative connections, inspiring community, and generous opportunities. Volunteer hosts and their team members organize local chapters that not only celebrate a city’s creative talent, but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals. The growing archive of past breakfast talks is humbling. From design legends to hometown heroes, speakers are selected by each chapter based on a global theme.
CreativeMornings remains free thanks to the support of local partners, generous venues, and longterm global partners. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is creative. Just register beforehand to reserve your spot. And if you need a little help convincing your boss to let you attend, we’ve got you covered. Remember to set your alarm, and we’ll see you in the morning!"
O próximo encontro é dia 21 de Abril, no Déda, acerca do movimento.
O evento é gratuito mas é necessário registo.
April’s Theme for CreativeMornings is Movement.
The body in motion is a thing of beauty. Our cells shake kinetic energy through the finely articulated instruments of muscle, ligament, and bone. We blink, we pulse, we dance. Some even pull off feats of human athleticism and daring, from which we can hardly look away.
Movement is a universal state of being. Even at rest, the matter we’re composed of is in motion — subatomic particles whir about at dizzying speeds, to create the sense of solidity. The things that appear still — the earth beneath us, the trunk of a tree above us, is but a trick of the eye. They move slowly but at a staggering scale.
When we move together, we can build social and collective movements. Like a murmuration of swallows, we can form sweeping visions of a world never seen before. Our collective energy directed like a mighty river flowing downstream, taking unexpected and winding turns to carve mountains.
Our Wellington chapter chose this month’s exploration of Movement, Hannah Webster illustrated the theme, and Mailchimp is presenting the theme.
We've got a perfect synergy with this month's theme, location and speakers as we will be heading to Deda on Friday 21st April from 10.00am and we have a duo of speakers this month in Steve Slater (Director at Deda) and Manya Benenson (Creative Producer at Deda).
