To give more wholesome picture of Guruji Paramahamasa you please dive into the biography.
Satguru was born as Mahadeosingh ‘Visham’ Komalram on June 13, 1978. Today is revered as spiritual leader, mystic, and the esteemed founder of the Bhakti Marga organization. Originating from a Hindu Brahmin family in Beau Bassin-Rose Hill, Mauritius, his spiritual journey began early in life, marked by profound experiences and a deep inclination towards prayer, holy places, and the divine.
At the tender age of five, a pivotal moment occurred in Satguru’s spiritual journey when he first encountered Mahavatar Babaji, who later initiated him into the lineage of Kriya Yoga. Among the many teachings and blessings imparted to him, Satguru Paramahamsa Vishwananda received the powerful mantra “Sri Vitthala Giridhari Parabrahmane Namaha.” This mantra combines the qualities of Lord Krishna as Vitthala, the humble protector; Giridhari, the lifter of Govardhana Hill; and Parabrahman, the Supreme Reality. It serves as a refuge for the soul, offering protection, humility, and a direct connection to the divine presence of Krishna, while helping devotees overcome pride and ego.
Although originally initiated into Shaivism, Satguru Paramahamsa later developed his own unique spiritual path, deeply rooted in Vaishnavism, a devotional tradition within Hinduism that centers on the worship of Lord Vishnu and his incarnations such as Krishna and Rama. Vaishnavism emphasizes bhakti (devotion) as a personal and loving relationship with God, encouraging devotees to surrender to the divine with love and devotion.
Founding of Bhakti Marga:
In 2005, Satguru founded Bhakti Marga, a global spiritual organization dedicated to promoting the principles of Sanatana Dharma through the path of Bhakti (devotion). Bhakti Marga translates to “the path of devotion,” and the organization is focused on cultivating unconditional love and devotion towards God, as embodied in the teachings of Lord Krishna and other forms of Vishnu. The organization offers a wide range of spiritual teachings, including meditation, kirtan (devotional singing), and ancient rituals, all aimed at helping individuals connect with the divine.
Teachings and Practices:
The Bhakti Marga movement under Satguru Paramahamsa Vishwananda emphasizes a holistic approach to spirituality that includes Yoga & Meditation, Knowledge, Devotional Arts, and Rituals. Each of these aspects is seen as a pathway to deepening one’s connection with the divine. The organization places a significant focus on the role of the guru as a living embodiment of divine love and wisdom, essential for guiding devotees on their spiritual journey.
Spiritual Order:
Under Satguru’s guidance, Bhakti Marga has established a structured spiritual order with various levels of commitment and leadership. This includes the initiation of Brahmacharis (celibate devotees), Swamis (renunciates), and Rishis (wise sages), who take vows to live according to the teachings of Bhakti Marga. These leaders are integral to the dissemination of Satguru’s teachings and the maintenance of the spiritual community.
Global Reach and Influence:
Bhakti Marga has grown into a worldwide movement, with a significant presence in many countries. The organization has established numerous ashrams and spiritual centers globally, including the main ashram, Shree Peetha Nilaya, in Springen, Germany, where Satguru resides. As of the end of 2023, Bhakti Marga had approximately 50,000 followers, including 450 initiated Brahmacharis and 50 Swamis and Rishis, all of whom are dedicated to living a life of devotion and service.

He was also awarded the Bharat Gaurav Award in 2016 for his remarkable achievements in encouraging and empowering others. In 2023, CNN recognized him as one of the world’s best-known spiritual gurus.
