For best results on the 'gram, you should use a variety of content types to keep things engaging. 📸

Instagram allows users to create content in multiple forms, and research has shown these 4 types of content, used consistently, generate the most growth:

Carousels 👉 These posts can be from 2 - 10 slides, but results show the best and most engaging posts are 8-10 slides long. Don’t forget, quality is better than quantity every time though!

Carousels are great for storytelling content, as they give you the opportunity to share multiple images, videos and snippets of text. Think tips and tricks, before and afters and ‘how to’s’ for carousel posts. 💡

Reels 👉 Reels are short videos that people can scroll and interact with on your feed. Users can create up to 90 second videos however the most successful and engaging reels are still short and sweet up to around 15 seconds long.

The most effective reels are short and meaningful, and capture users' attention immediately. Starting with bold statements, questions or informative text and visuals are likely to increase engagement and watch time. ✅

Stories 👉 Posting content on your story regularly throughout the day has been proven to increase the overall visibility of an account. We recommend posting a story around 4 times a day. First and foremost keeps your page at the forefront of people's feeds and homepage and also keeps your account fresh in people's mind. 🧠

IG Lives 👉 Live streaming via Instagram is the perfect content type to engage with your audience on a personal level. For businesses, you might want to live stream an event, a collaboration, or host a live show to deliver free tips and tricks in your industry.

Studies show that lives that last between 15 - 30 minutes are the most engaging for users - most likely because this time allows a user to gain value, without it being a massive commitment to watch.
