Today I'm in the studio, editing four more music videos by my wife Sarah Pierce Piano.

For the past few months we've been regularly filming and recording her spontaneous piano music on our upright. You can use it as an aid for meditation, prayer, worship, relaxation, or whatever else is helpful! Each video has a different feel.

The good people at Youth Shedz Cymru do amazing work instilling hope into young people who feel overlooked and have nowhere to belong. I'm helping out with a mix of design, photography, and copywriting to support their mission. Bring it on! :D

We have been able to commission the amazingly talented Mark Pierce of Revelator Studio to do some work on our ‘Plant a Shed’ toolkit book which forms part of our franchise pack that will help realise the vision ‘A Shed in Every Town’.

The book and support package will ensure that the vision and ethos of Youth Shedz as created by the original Shedderz is not lost or watered down and will also ensure a pathway of sustainability for future Shedz - meaning a firm foundation for future generations of young people.

Does imagination matter?

We do nothing without first imagining it. So why do we ignore our imagination as much as we do?

In this session, I explore why we must pay attention to our imagination and use it on purpose. It’s what guides us before we act, as we picture what might happen. But in our busy lives, we forget its power to shape how we see the world and what we can achieve.

Our imagination sparks new ideas and lets us dream, yet it remains largely unexplored and we forget to explore it. What if we did?

I also delve into the Biblical narrative of Bezalel, highlighting its significance for today’s church – especially Christian creatives and artists.

NB. The principles discussed in this session are rooted in biblical foundations, but they hold relevance and benefits for everyone, irrespective of their beliefs.

Don’t hamper your sales with a bad cover.

A book cover has more work to do than just look pretty. To earn its keep, it must do two jobs, which at first seem contradictory: fitting in AND standing out. The cover should be at home within its genre, yet distinctive enough to catch the eye of the ideal reader, convincing them to stop and investigate.

The point is never personal artistic expression, but to communicate the theme clearly and attract the right reader.

And a bad book cover almost guarantees you’ll miss out on sales you might otherwise deserve.
