British Sugarcraft Guild Windsor Welcome to the Windsor Branch of the British Sugarcraft Guild. Come and join us, you'll be very welcome! Meet new friends.

We meet on the 3rd Sat of every month (exc Aug & Dec), 2-4pm at the 2nd Datchet Scout Group, SL3 9EX for anyone interested in Sugarcraft. The British Sugarcraft Guild is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of cake decorating and sugarcraft; run by a committee of volunteers elected from the membership, members include hobby cake makers, home bakers, specialist retailers, manufactur

ers, and renowned sugarcraft professionals. Established in 1981 by a group of enthusiastic cake decorators who shared a love for the art of sugarcraft and with the motto ‘My craft is my art’, the Guild’s aims are to:
• Promote & Stimulate interest in sugarcraft
• Share Knowledge
• Develop Talent
• Improve Standards

• Annual Membership is open to everyone with an interest in sugarcraft and cake decorating - ranging from the complete novice through to professionals in their field; everyone can benefit from the sharing and learning experience that BSG membership can bring. Options include: Local Branch Member; UK Individual Member; International Member; and Cygnet Member - for under 18's.

• Sugarcraft News: Members receive the quarterly members’ magazine, and can access ‘The Sugarcraft Lounge’, our online community group for members, with monthly video tutorials and online resources.

• Sugarcraft Insurance: UK resident members who sell their cakes, bakes, and sugarcraft, are offered the opportunity to join our special low-cost insurance scheme for public & products liability cover. A selection of cover options is available.

• Local Branches: We arrange sugarcraft demonstrations, have-a-go sessions, and events each month at local branches around the UK. Local Branch meetings offer you the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people who are similarly passionate about cake decorating and sugarcraft. Share ideas and skills.

• Activities: The Guild hosts a monthly programme of virtual demonstrations around our Regions. We also organise demonstration days, workshops, residential skills schools, and our own exhibitions, as well as trips to other exhibitions and shows. You will find the BSG at many commercial cake shows where we provide demonstrations and hands-on workshops.

• Training: The Guild offers training schemes (developed over 40 years) and accreditation, to members wishing to specialise in sugarcraft demonstrating and judging.

As we bring this year to a close, we are delighted to share a very special anniversary that we celebrated here at Windsor BSG. Earlier this autumn, we honoured our chair, Fiona Webb, for her remarkable 30 years of dedication to Windsor BSG.
Fiona has been an invaluable asset to the BSG, always making time for each & every member, & ensuring that everyone feels welcomed, regardless of their individual skill level. Her warmth & inclusivity have made our branch a truly special place.
On behalf of the entire branch, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Fiona for her patience, love, attention, & kindness. We are incredibly proud of how you manage our branch!
Fiona's commitment is evident in her willingness to travel over four hours round trip from her new home to attend our monthly meetings. This dedication not only reflects her passion for sugarcraft but also her unwavering commitment to the guild and to all of us.

Fiona, we love you dearly & are grateful for your continued leadership. May you remain our chairperson for many more years to come! ❤️💋

Wishing our members & followers a very merry Christmas. We at Windsor had a fantastic time at our annual party this year, & we would like to express our gratitude to our members who donated such lovely Christmas cakes for such a worthy cause. Congratulations to our 2023 winner, Jo Harvey, whose cake was judged by the Lions president!

Guess who we have coming to play with us this month? None other than the world famous author, Mrs Debbie Brown, who will be demonstrating this fantastic Toy Box! Interested? Then comment below! More details to follow shortly.

As 2022 comes to an end, we thought we would finish the year by showing our last meeting of 22. As usual our Christmas party was amazing, full of fun & festivities! Thank you to our members for their amazing cake donations which were all distributed by the Maidenhead Lions ‘Helping Hands at Christmas’ to local care homes.
