Self love can sometimes be difficult as we are very critical of ourselves. Or we put others before ourselves.

When I was on my healing journey 5 years ago I discovered that a lot of my healing came down to changing my mindset and loving who I was. To do that I had to release the guilt, childhood Traumas and the loss of my grandfather which made me really struggle.

Do You Track Your Moods?

Have you ever noticed patterns in your moods but werenโ€™t sure why? Tracking your emotions can reveal fascinating insights about what influences your well-being.

Womenโ€™s moods can be affected by many things, including:
โœจ Hormonal changes (menstrual cycle, perimenopause, menopause)
๐ŸŒ• Lunar cycles (ever feel extra emotional or fiery during a full moon?)
๐Ÿ’ค Sleep quality (too little rest can make everything feel overwhelming)
๐Ÿฅ— Diet (certain foods can lift or lower your mood)
๐ŸŒฟ Stress levels (daily pressures can build up without us realizing)
๐Ÿ’™ Emotional energy from others (some people drain us, while others uplift us)

I started tracking my moods and discovered that during a full moon, Iโ€™d become more argumentative and temperamental. It was eye-opening!

I may be quiet over the next week or so, we think my little dog is near the end, a really sad time.

Daisy was with me when I was first diagnosed with fibro she has been my friend and my rock.

I can't go to bed without her and she tells me when it's bed time. She washes my hand when I am sore.

Even today as she was struggling to breathe, she was washing my hands and worried about me. She acts like I am her pup. I will be up all night tonight sitting with her.

She has had a heart condition for the last 1yr and a half and been on medication. She has had two bouts of fluid on her lungs but this just feels different.

I have been giving her Reiki today which has settled her a little. I feel pain with people and animals I am not sure she is going to get through it this time.

Please stay in group whilst I support my wee dog Daisy.

Here are the basics:

1. Understand Baselines

Identify what level of activity you can comfortably manage without worsening symptoms. This is your baseline.

Avoid pushing beyond your limits, even on โ€œgoodโ€ days.

2. Break Tasks into Smaller Steps

Divide larger tasks into manageable chunks.

Focus on one step at a time to conserve energy and reduce stress.

3. Use the "50% Rule"

When planning activities, aim to do only 50% of what you think you can handle. This ensures you save energy for other parts of your day.

4. Schedule Regular Breaks

Alternate periods of activity with rest, even before you feel tired.

Use timers to remind yourself to take breaks every 20โ€“30 minutes during tasks.

5. Prioritise Activities
