With the recent Government announcements regarding the housing market, and as homeowners and professionals alike start to re-commence the property sales process, the Local Authority Land Charges team continue to support those within the conveyancing profession.

For those that submitted a Local Authority Search (LLC1/CON29R) prior to the pandemic we want to provide you with that extra piece of mind. We can provide you with a ‘Search Refresh’ which includes a recheck of the original search to verify and confirm there has been no new entries such as Planning applications that you should be aware of during the lock down. We'll provide this service without any additional fee, however to qualify you must have submitted a Full Local Authority Search to Cheshire East between 1st March – 30th April 2020.

Are you a solicitor requiring a Full Suite of Searches?

Our team is always looking at ways to improve service delivery, that’s why we’ve been working closely with our partners, Resolution Data Management Ltd, in developing a new online search platform. This online solution, which includes a cloud based operating system that can be accessed remotely, also provides security of data, and is a valued addition to solicitors requiring property searches. The platform was recently recognised with an Innovation Award at this years Iese Innovations Awards in March, is now ready to be rolled out.

The Cheshire East Local Land Charges team is continuing to deliver the Local Authority search service to both conveyancing professionals and residents to ensure property purchases avoid further delays.

Moving home can be stressful at the best of times, and even more so in these challenging times, however worrying about your property searches shouldn’t be one of those worries.

Like many other services, our teams have had to adapt quickly to ensure service delivery and customer service levels remain to the high standard that is expected. We may not be working from an office, but you can continue to contact us via email or mobile phone as we work remotely.

We understand that in these unprecedented times comes uncertainty and confusion regarding the current operation and changes associated with services.

The teams have adapted quickly to ensure the majority of service delivery remains unchanged for residents and professionals, in particular relating to Building Control, Land Charges and the Planning service.

Building Control – our priority has always been and remains the safety of residents in and around buildings along with quality of construction in Cheshire East, that’s why we continue to deliver essential physical site inspections, alongside additional inspections where necessary. You can also continue to submit a Building Regulations application to the authority as normal and we are here to assist you with any questions you may have.

Land Charges – the team continues to deliver property searches for homeowners, Solicitors & industry professionals remotely ensuring those still looking to progress house purchases or sales can do so.
