Zubby Micheal, biggest Nollywood star – Gideon Okeke

Actor Gideon Okeke has declared his colleague, Zubby Micheal, as the “biggest Nollywood star”.

He said he can attest to Micheal’s greatness and potentials.

On his Instastory, Okeke wrote, “Zubby Micheal is the biggest Nollywood star. But like Elizabeth, I know what Mary is carrying. God’s expression resounds in different decibels.

“It takes only humility to submit in praise, to God. Keep riding my broda. I see you.”

recalls that months back, Zubby Micheal and Timini Egbuson engaged in a heated debate on who the biggest actor in Africa is in the first episode of the Prime Video original reality show, ‘Ebuka Turns Up Africa’.

Egbuson claimed that he was bigger than Michael in terms of the quality of movies, box office records, and popularity among industry experts, but Michael insisted that he was wealthier and more successful.

Ruth Kadiri calls out producers who pressure actors to produce 1 million views on YouTube

actress and filmmaker, Ruth Kadiri, has called out producers who pressure actors to produce one million views on the first day of upload on YouTube in movies they were featured in.

The ‘Queen of YouTube Nollywood’ urged actors not to let any producer pressure them to do high numbers on YouTube.

According to her, one million views is not the standard for a successful movie.

On her Instagram page, she wrote, “Dear Nollywood actors, take the pressure off your shoulders! Any producer who requires one million views from you in one day has failed. A good production requires more than your face.

“One million views is not a standard of success. So much y’all don’t know about YouTube. Don’t let their ignorance rob you of your joy.”

Veteran singer, Eldee The Don, has claimed that his dad was the first person to connect Nigeria to the Internet.

He stated that his dad set up the first cyber cafe in Lagos and was rendering internet services to oil firms and government agencies.

The singer said his early access to technology gave him an edge in the music industry.

Speaking on the Adesope Live show, Eldee said, “Thankfully, I had a dad who was in technology. My dad was a pioneer in his own space as well.

“That man [my Dad] was the first person to connect Nigeria to the internet. This is something people argue about because they don’t know his name. He wasn’t that guy who wanted to put himself out there.

“The very first cyber cafe in Lagos was set up by my dad. The very first connection for Mobil, CBN and government agencies, my dad was doing all of that.

“At that time, we had access to technology that wasn’t really available. So having all of that, I had a studio in our house where the music is being produced.”
