Leading technology manufacturer and one of our long-standing clients .unitedkingdom TEC ,welcomed The King to its state-of-the-art facility in Pencoed to mark 30 years at the site and its 50th anniversary in Wales.

As the longest-standing Japanese manufacturer in Wales, the visit marked five decades of Sony in Wales, after The King, as the Prince of Wales, played an instrumental role in encouraging the global company to invest in Wales in the early 1970s, going on to officially open the company’s first site in Bridgend in 1974.

One of the reasons we founded the Wales STEM Awards, alongside Grapevine Event Management Ltd , was to address the diversity gap in STEM fields. As it stands only 34% of the workforce in science, technology, engineering and maths jobs are women. As a female founded business, we’re keen to help readdress the balance and showcase the different opportunities for women in the STEM sector. Today is International Women in Engineering Day another great initiative to recognise the outstanding achievements of female engineers and to encourage more girls and women to pursue careers in engineering. Wales Coast Path Cancer Challenge

In September 2022, Craig Maxwell, a friend of the jamjar team, was just 40 when he was diagnosed with incurable and inoperable EGFR lung and bone cancer in September 2022. In the face of adversity, having told he had a limited time to live, Craig has thrown himself into raising hundreds of thousands of pounds to help others detect cancer earlier. We're supporting him promote his new foundation - the Maxwell Family Genomics Fund - and his next challenge - the Wales Coast Path Cancer Challenge. Our managing director, Lyndsey will be taking part in the challenge, walking 27 miles of the Llwybr Arfordir Cymru / Wales Coast Path from Porthcawl to Barry, and raising funds to help Craig's efforts to enhance, improve and develop he cancer pathway in Wales. If you had lifted the lid on jamjar back in 2012, you’d have found our MD Lyndsey bubbling away concocting our recipe for success. After years of working in PR, she’d become tired of the traditional press release treadmill and wanted to create a communications agency with creativity at its core.

jamjar was born to tickle the taste buds of those who wanted to try something different. Since then the communications world has changed considerably and our services have evolved to reflect this, and the requirements of our clients. Still with creativity at our core, we deliver a range of communication solutions that excite, engage and create tangible results for our clients.
