WOW! What an event!!! Massive thanks from Love + Madness to all of the helpers, the amazing hard working tech team at the hmv Empire Coventry, Sandra Godley Obe our highly talented super host, the team at Hillz FM Coventry 98.6 who were fabulous interviewers, Trish Adudu and the BBC for their ongoing support, and all of the incredible acts Vamoosery, Chrissie Dux Singer/Songwriter, Bar Pandora, Shanghai Hostage, Project Overload, and Pandora Craig! A special thanks to the audience who turned out in hoards on a Sunday afternoon and made it the special event it was. This was EPIC, a massive thankyou Christopher Clarke, and Pandora Craig!

Exclusive announcement: Love and Madness are proud to reveal the fifth of our five five acts for 'Here Come the Girls' (our celebration of female-fronted bands at the HMV Empire, Coventry on 30th June) - last but not least is Project Overload, described by BBC Music as “amazingly talented”, they have been on the Godiva Festival bill three times and play home gigs at venues including The Tin Music and Arts. With a repertoire described as bright janglepop with sharp elbows, they have been compared to The Primitives, Young Marble Giants, Blondie and the C86 sound. Their debut album 'New Beginnings' was released in early 2024 with lead single Second Chances picking up over 20 thousand streams and finding its way onto playlists alongside the likes of The Last Dinner Party, Black Midi, Fontaines DC, Lovejoy, Declan McKenna, The Strokes, Taylor Swift, Arctic Monkeys, Beach Bunny, Two Door Cinema Club and Foals.

Chrissie Dux is a singer/songwriter with a distinctive voice, memorable and versatile songs, and the ultimate four-piece band. Her highly acclaimed debut album 'Justify' was released in 2023, and named 'Album of the Year' in the Coventry Observer. Described as “one of the city's most respected and credible artists”, Chrissie has made her name in the Midlands, and has extended her success throughout various notable venues and festivals around the UK, and across the Atlantic in Nashville USA.
