Now that I've had a few days to recover from a crazy busy bank holiday weekend, I just want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone that made Insert Coin possible 🙏🏾

Thank you to James Marshall for helping set up Friday evening, to Muhammad Chilwan and Maha Kayrouz for not only making the journey over to show support, but for staying behind and helping with the pack down so I could drive immediately down to London.

An extra special shout out must go to Stephen Beard and Katie OConnor who worked tirelessly throughout the day to get games on for people, offer help where needed, deal with broken consoles, faulty controllers but most importantly supply me with coffee and positive vibes when I was having a little worry. I honestly couldn't have done it without you both.

Rob at Entertainment World for being a genuinely lovely human being, having never met me before, he was quick to promote the event on his social media, allowing me to spend hours in his shop looking at games and lending me games, consoles and TVs AND provided me with some prizes all for the event!

Another special thank you of course must go to Kätlin Mägi who invited me to be part of the Geek Out event months ago, and gave me the platform and space to show what I am passionate and proud of. Thank you for putting your trust in me to bring gaming to your event.

And finally thank you to Natalie Johnson who put up with months of me coming back from trips around Warwickshire and beyond with a boot full of TVs, consoles, games and various other bits of tat, which initially lived in the loft but over spilled into the entire garage. I promise you can park the car there again soon.

Sorry if I've missed anyone out, but if you helped in any way then thank you.

I am truly honoured and humbled by the love and support shown for the event and I left the day feeling overwhelming positive ❤️

This is the first gaming event I've put on and it certainly won't be the last.

Picked up Paperboy for the NES, thanks once again to Rob at Entertainment World and it's bringing back all the chaotic fun of dodging dogs and breaking windows (on purpose, of course)! Spent this evening pedalling through nostalgia! 🚲 🗞️ 📬

Stopped in at Entertainment World today for a lovely little retro day.
Came away with these bona fide classics. Both Micro Machines and Streets of Rage are definitive Mega Drive games and ones I have fond memories of playing as a child.
Even better, Micro Machines is the J-Cart, so you can have 4 players!!

Massive thanks once again to Rob and the staff at Entertainment World for being hospitable, helpful and welcoming as always 🙏🏾 Also great to meet some fellow retro gamers, hopefully see you at the event at the end of the month.

HUGE thanks to Rob and the staff at Entertainment World for letting me hang out, promote Insert Coin and sorting me out with these gems; in particular a pristine copy of Time Crisis with the G-Con45 and Diddy Kong Racing.

Entertainment World is the absolute Mecca for all things retro, whether that be gaming, dvds, vinyls, comics, pop culture figures and memorabilia, it's got it all. Do yourself a favour and head down there, even if you're not local it's well worth the visit!

Picked up this beauty just now from Facebook marketplace for an incredible price!
And it came with Super Mario All Stars! A console I never owned as a child (I was always SEGA), but have fond memories of playing it at friends hours after school.

In just a few hours, England will attempt to 'bring it home'.

Well I've got news for you Mr Southgate! It already is home, in the form of this Dreamcast masterpiece that is Virtual Striker 2 ⚽

Fond memories of playing this in the arcades as a kid and was so excited for its console release.

Another productive day for ya boi, making my way to a couple of CEX stores in Coventry.

Virtua Tennis one that was requested on Instagram yesterday, so of course I had to get it. Whilst I was at it, I thought I'd get some other gems....

Soul Calibur is one of the all time great beat em ups. Power Stone is an absolute classic and one of the most sought after Dreamcast games. Wipeout was a genre and console defining game with an incredible soundtrack and Bust a Move 2 was an arcade classic, wonderfully ported to console.

Keep your suggestions coming and I'll keep looking for them.

Hot off the heels of the highly successful 'Geek Out' event, FarGo management have invited me to curate the ultimate playgroung for gamers of all ages!

Retro Games, Arcades, Shops, Q&A's, Indie Devs, Competitions, Tabletop games and loads more!
