Thinking of making a submission to a legal journal? Curious to know what makes a research article or dissertation piece? Or... simply interested in how to improve your academic essays?

The LSE Law Review is proud to host “How to Write a Good Legal Article”.

Speakers include Shukri Shahizam (former LSE Law Review Editor-in-Chief, Cambridge LLM graduate and current PhD candidate at LSE), Gloria Schiavo (former LSE Law Review Editor-in-Chief, Oxford BCL graduate) and Mythili Mishra (former LSE Law Review Articles and Notes Editor, winner of the Best Overall Degree Performance Prize at LSE and LSE Law Department Prize for Best Dissertation for 2020/21).

Our speakers, who have long experience on the Board and have had their submissions published, will share their first-hand experience and thoughts on “what makes a good legal article”, talk about what key areas you should look out for when writing your formative essays or dissertations, and how the editorial board generally assesses a piece.

Don’t miss out on the unique opportunity to hear from distinguished LSE Law Review alumni and current board members!

The WULJ is proud to say we have have partnered with the Utrecht Journal of International and European Law!

The journal considers every submission it receives, with the Board of Editors carefully reviewing the articles based on topic, level of academic content and style. In order to be passed on for peer review, the article must be recommended by both the Editors whom were asked to review it in detail and must be approved by a majority of the Editorial Board. The process applies a double blind peer review, meaning that the author's name and affiliation are not made public to the Editorial Board (apart from the Solicitations Editor).
