MOVE TO PORTUGAL 🇵🇹🇵🇹 ON A JOB SEEKER VISA

Portugal 🇵🇹Job Seeker Visa allows individuals from outside the EU to enter Portugal to look for a job, and permits them to be in the country until their visa expires or they secure a job and submit an application for a residence permit to The Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA).

This visa allows just a single entry into Portugal, is valid for 120 days and can be extended for another 60 days. If one does not get a job, the person must leave the country as the visa validity runs out.

BENEFITS

1. No Age Limit

2. No IELTS or Language Test Requirement. But, I would advise you to learn a little bit of Portuguese due to the reasons mentioned in my previous post on “the importance of learning a second language”.

3. No specific Education or Work Experience Required. Again, please prepare very well. Take courses if need be, and create a new well-detailed CV that aligns with their format there, it would be nice to have some experience and certifications.

*Remember you have just six months, so be well prepared.

REQUIREMENTS

- Visa application filled and signed by applicant
- A return ticket to your home country
- Travel insurance covering the period of your stay
- Must have at least 2500 Euros for financial support
- Must provide proof of residence
- Must formalize your application for employment with the Institute of Employment and Professional Training (IEFP), indicating your academic qualifications and professional experience
- Must not have had any convictions as a result of crime in Portugal that led to a sentence of up to 1 year
- Must have no restriction entering any EU country
Criminal record certification
- Passport Valid for 3 months after estimated date of return and photocopy of passport
- 2 recent passport photos

HOW TO APPLY?

Complete your application form online, sign and apply at the Portuguese embassy or consulate in your home country

My Big Brother and l went to Heidelberg, a city in Germany 🇩🇪 yesterday to pick up something. Just when we were about to enter the car, a man was waving at me and saying something in German, l clearly couldn’t reply because l didn’t understand what he was saying. My brother was trying to start the car when he closed in on us and started speaking German with my brother, the man seemed excited and kept pointing at his pocket and my brother who not only understands German but also speaks fluently obviously shared in his joy and conversed with him for about 5mins. I didn’t understand a single word as l do not understand or speak German😫

After the man left, my brother explained to me that the man thought he had lost his keys and was searching everywhere for it, only to find them in his pocket and that made him very happy 😃

The man's excitement over finding his keys shows that sometimes, the small things in life can bring great joy

Where we come from, we don’t share such with someone you just met on the road😂 fear go catch you sef because everybody dey vex including you.

The Naija in us said haaa but what is our business with this?! But we were quick to tell each other that we find what he just did cool as baba had no problem sharing his joy with total strangers who might not even share in his joy.

Share in someone else's happiness even if it doesn’t make sense to you.
