🔊Introducing our artist line up on the Powerhouse Youth Zone Resonate Stage on Day 3 — Oles Stefanyk, Roe McDonnell, Gina Meredith, DJ Gladstone, Willow, Eliza May, Serena Jasmine🥳

🔆ARTIST SPOTLIGHT⬇️

💫 Gina Meredith () is a 26-year-old singer and based in London. She is just doing covers for today but she has new releases coming out at the end of July. She would describe her own music as pop/ alternative. She likes to write happy melodies with meaningful and sometimes melancholy lyrics.

⚡️DJ Gladstone (.cov) is a young DJ from the city of Coventry, he loves sharing music he enjoys to new crowds and bringing the energy!

🎨 Eliza May () — With her bubbly personality, iconic colourful hair and contagiously catchy tunes, Birmingham’s indie pop queen Eliza May stands out from the crowd. Using intricate harmonies and captivating melodies, Eliza’s unique vibe is refreshing the scene. 2023 saw Eliza release her highly anticipated EP “Candy Heart”. Taking inspiration from artists such as Paramore, Fickle Friends, Olivia Dean and The Wombats, this EP encompasses all the sugar sweet highs and sour lows you feel when truly falling in and out of love.

🌞Serena Jasmine () — Free-flowing into different directions, West Midlands-based Serena Jasmine constantly seeks to express her experiences and emotions through music.
Having released her debut EP, named Rerooting, Serena’s journey has only just gotten started. As she continues to delve into the presence of truth and love, you’ll soon hear more of her articulation through a variety of sounds.

💜 DJ Grace () is a vinyl and digital DJ from Coventry, playing Hip Hop, Funk, Soul and Disco tunes.

🙌 Skatta () is a special kind of artist, with a passion for his art form and a distinctive sound that sets him apart. Having collaborated with French, American and British singers, rappers and producers, Skatta is laying down tracks for a new generation... and the music industry is listening up.

⚡️Rafferty DJ () is a 13 year old passionate House DJ and music producer from Coventry. His 2024 goal was to play a set at Godiva! He is a multi instrumentalist and is currently working towards his grade 8 drum exam. His ultimate dream is to become a professional DJ and play in Ibiza.

🔥 KAP ft. DJ Newtown ( & ) is an English rapper on the scene in ‘UK Rap and DnB’ - She has composed several songs, including her latest project ‘Mindset’ with plenty more tracks released onto streaming platforms. She began her music career in the local community after being invited to perform at Godiva Festival, followed by a DnB in Birmingham and was part of the FITY project and performed live at HMV Empire in Coventry. KAP’s music looks through the lens of a young woman navigating the complexities of the 21st century, exploring raw emotions with honesty and optimism in a refreshing ‘come at me if you dare’ approach. Expressing through her different styles of music the emotions that come with life.

🔊Introducing our artist line up on the Powerhouse Youth Zone Resonate Stage on Day 1 — Ranger, Swift Café Junction, Lucent, Sweet Caporal, Zaruna and The Caroline Bomb🥳

🌅 Ranger () is an experimental solo project open to all genres for the purpose of ambitious composition and lyrical message.

☕️ Swift Café Junction () is an alternative band who play an eclectic mix of acoustic and electronic instruments, with a focus on songs that carry a strong narrative.

⚡️Lucent (.west) is a grunge and metal band with loads of energy. They have been together for 2 years. Their inspirations are Black Sabbath, van hallen and Metallica.

🦋 Sweet Caporal () is a Leamington/London based 4 piece creating a concept album sampling the recordings of Evan Doorbell and his friends, who recorded demonstrations of the mechanisms of public and home telephones in the 70s. Their music is a mixture of country, folk and post rock that plays off the lofi sound of our tape recording setup.

💥Zaruna () is an energetic three piece alternative rock band.

💣 The Caroline Bomb () is a garage-punk outfit from the heart of Cov Town bringing explosive high energy Indie-Punk that will make you dance.

🔊⚡️Media Mania and Powerhouse Studio's Presents – Breaking Beats🎚️🎧

Media Mania and Powerhouse Studio's are really excited to announce the 1st in the series of featured producer sessions! 🥳

The 1st in the series is with electronic music producer Subb-an: https://soundcloud.com/subb-an✨

This will be a unique opportunity to work with Subb-an and to see how a beat is broken down and build a track from start to finish using a mix of analog synths and drum machines alongside Ableton Live.

Due to space constraints, we will be only recruiting 4 young people who are under 29 years old for this session.

Let’s introduce our team at Powerhouse Studios! Next up is Photographer and Digital Marketing Officer, Constance Cua.

Constance's role at Media Mania and Powerhouse Studios is Web and Digital Marketing Officer. She enjoys working in all sorts of events and initiatives, coming up with marketing strategies and PR plans, and building a brand for new projects.

Constance is also a photographer who mainly focuses on portraiture, street photography and event photography. Her passion for photography stems from her love for people and community, as reflected in her candid and nostalgic style. She hopes to capture memorable moments that people can look back on.

Constance is currently learning videography to diversify Media Mania and Powerhouse Studios’ content production. She shoots predominantly hand-held and looks to convey the essence of the subject in the most impactful way possible to the audience.

Lily's role specialises in artist development, where she works closely with local, upcoming artists and identifies the areas they have interest in evolving. She assists in several realms such as marketing music, music theory, branding, career support, connecting creatives and empowering artists on their creative journey. She is very keen on starting and supporting projects, so if you have an idea, hit her up!

Studio looking fresh after the maintenance work in March!✨

Because of the two floods that hit the studio last year, we had to get all the carpets and doors refitted. Luckily, we got the work nailed down and are now ready to get back into action!⚡️🎶

Bandcamp is a great place for artists to release their own music independently. Powerhouse Studios label are here to support independent artists who have worked with us past and present! We will be releasing and sharing tracks or albums made in the studio. 🎶

Head over to our Bandcamp to listen to some incredible tracks. We have two albums out so far: Bring The Noise is a collection of tracks made by young people in Media Mania's open access Bring The Noise sessions in 2019. 🕺🔥

COV X DETRIOT is a collaboration compilation album between Coventry and Detroit born from a social development Youthful Cities programme created to draw similarities between cities around the world. From this project, we had the opportunity to bring over some featuring artists who rocked our stage at Godiva! 🥳
