Moel Hebog, Eryri, North Wales 25/1/25 Dydd Santes Dwynwen Hapus - Happy St Dwynwen’s Day! One of the things we do in Wales to celebrate our Patron Saint of Lovers Day - go do a stunning hike 💞🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💞. The video is a little longer than usual, but the views were so glorious, not only towards Yr Wyddfa, but the panoramic views all around ❤️.

Blwyddyn newydd da to you all🥰. A tradition that Tom Foty, a very dear departed friend, and pillar of our community here on the mountain, introduced me to. Bringing a piece of coal over the threshold on New Year’s Day. This is a piece of coal carried in by Tom many years ago, and ever since I have placed it safely by the fireside. It’s to bring warmth into the home for the next year. Tradition also suggests salt and bread, for prosperity and a good year ahead. You need a tall dark haired man to carry them over the threshold. My cariad obliged, even though he looked perplexed at the request 😆. So Thank you, and thanks to Tom for your treasured lump of coal. These are the quirky things my guests to North Wales love to hear about 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️😁

Life in Eryri, Cymru (Wales) come see for yourself. So serenely beautiful out there tonight. Have a look at the stars. The bright one is actually planet Jupiter. Aren’t we lucky. Leaning on the garden gate with views of the coast. Just perfect. In now to the coziness of the bwthyn (cottage). 👌❤️. Dogs snuggerly. Cats? They haven’t been fed for weeks… 😂❤️

Well, still grinning this morning. To say I’m delighted is an understatement. Thanks to all of you that have been there for me throughout this season - guests,colleagues, friends and family. To Go North Wales for the honour of an award for the second year running. And most of all to Mark Kassab for inspiring me and for the endless hours of coaching and talking through my ideas.
