We had an exciting morning when our footage was shown on Sky News with Kay Burley. She was interviewing the amazing Andy Stone (Andy's Triathlon World Record) that we're filming for the Made of Stone documentary.
Even though he was super nervous, he still cracked a joke and called her "mate". 😄

Doing great things consistently is... Well... I'd say it's one of the most tricky things to get right in life.
We know we need to eat better - but eating healthily consistently is *hard*
We know we need to hit the gym more - but dragging those trainers on consistently is *hard*
We know we need to dedicate more time to the ones we love - but finding that time consistently is *hard*
And yes, putting together posts for the social element of your business is also hard. But that's okay, because there's a few things you can do to help with this... Check it out.

Words are important.
Not just because they represent a good chunk of the way we communicate to the world, but because they allow us to decide quickly whether something is relevant or not.
This is extra important when it comes to putting out content on our socials, because what's the deciding factor of whether you should hit the 'play' button on the video you're hovering over?
You got it - text.
But what should you put into this text to make sure you've got a good chance of it being watched? Let's discuss...
Ever sat in a video meeting with someone who’s sat riiiiiight in front of a window, so they look like they’re in witness protection?
Yeah. Me too.
This is how you get around it.
So here's a question: If you saw 10 minutes video on Facebook, would you be more or less likely to watch than if you saw the same video on, say, Youtube?
Platform matters, so when you're creating video content from the ground up, it's probably important to think about where its final destination will be...
How long do you guys think is 'too long' for each platform? When would you switch off. Genuine question...
We all know that the first few seconds of a video is absolutely *key* to whether we carry on watching it or not... But what can we do to get our grubby little claws into our audience's imaginations?
WELL...
Bit of a long one this one, but it's a HUGE topic!
If we make a piece of video, but nobody actually sees it - was there ever any point in doing the thing to begin with?
There's a whole host of people in the marketing sphere who can help us with this stuff, but we ourselves can also do lots and lots to make sure that what we're putting out into the world is actually seen. Let's discuss...
Teaming up with others for video interviews is an awesome way of creating social content by sharing two people's experiences instead of just one (and Bill and Ted taught me from a very young age that two heads are better than one, so... Yeah.)
But - there are *loads* of do's and don'ts about this thing to make it go nice and smoothly, while giving your audience a great experience when watching. Check it out -

We're brilliant, we're useless, we make a wonderful mess of things. Especially when it comes to communication.
