We have been testing the luggage range by Speero for 6 months now and have to say this kit is one of the best on the market for design and practicality.
Build Quality and Durability
The first thing that stood out about the Speero range is how rugged it is. Made with 600D Cordura fabric, the bags are incredibly tough and water-resistant, which is critical when you’re out in unpredictable weather. The zippers are robust and don’t snag even when the bags are fully loaded. I’ve dragged mine through mud, grass, and gravel, and it still looks almost new.
Design
Each module serves a specific purpose, like the bait/cooler bag that kept my bait fresh all day, or the tackle pouches that allowed me to organize my gear neatly. This system keeps everything accessible and customizable depending on the trip length and the type of fishing I’m doing.
The design isn’t just functional but also practical. Every pocket and compartment feels like it’s been designed with anglers in mind.
Practical Features
A few features that I found particularly useful:
1. Padded Straps and Back Panels: Even with a fully loaded rucksack, it’s comfortable to carry.
Clip On System: The modular attachment points are incredibly secure, and the clip on system gives me endless options for adding or removing pouches. I can remove a certain bag if fishing a quick overnighter or attach for longer stays.
Waterproof Bases: Essential for when you’re setting the bags down on wet or muddy ground.
It is hands down the most versatile and well-thought-out system we’ve ever used. The modular design allows for incredible flexibility, and the quality ensures it will last for years. If you’re serious about fishing and want gear that works as hard as you do, I can’t recommend Speero luggage enough. It’s made every trip (whether a week in France or a quick overnighter) smoother, more organized, and, frankly, more enjoyable.
Keep an eye out on the website as we will be reviewing each piece and giving you a lowdown on what we used it for and our thoughts.
