An ex-fighter pilot, an airline pilot and most importantly a glider pilot!

Andrew Neofytou of will join us for the first Soaring Show episode of 2025! We will talk about what it's like to glide in a Sea Harrier (and the associated human factors), as well as gliding pathways into an aviation career.

The episode will air on the 31st of January but we will be recording Andrew's interview next week so if you have any career-related questions for him please drop them in the comments.

Navboys coaching session - Finn Sleigh - The Art of the Start

This session is free to attend and will be held online at 19:00 on 23rd December - sign up link is in the comments below!

Finn will be giving a presentation on how to choose when to start your task, whether that be for flying competitions, flying long distance (ladder/OLC) or just for leisure flying at weekends. There will be a Q&A session at the end so that you can ask any questions you may have.

Oh and if you missed Jake's session last week on flying your first gliding competition, this will be uploaded to our Patreon page very soon! (As soon as Dorian is feeling better...)
