Annual Burns Supper
Saturday 1st March
Coatbridge Bowling Club starts at 7:30pm.

The night begins with piping in the Haggis and includes Speakers, Songs (from a Scottish Duo), fun, and laughter. The highlight is always our own club member Willie reciting “Tam O’Shanter’ complete with actions depicting the story. A great night is guaranteed with traditional Soup, Haggis Neeps & Tatties, Cheese & Biscuits.

This was the first day that Shire Radio broadcast from our new fully equipped studio, down the corridor from the existing one (which will soon become the studio for Shire Extra). We especially want to thank RADIO LAW for providing us all of their studio equipment, CD library, furniture and more. It was sad that they closed after so many decades on air but the spirit of Hospital Radio Law lives on through Shire Radio, both technically and through some upcoming shows.

Latest News from North Lanarkshire Council.
Storm Eowyn - Weather Impact
We are intending to reopen facilities and venues tomorrow, Saturday 25 January.
However, as the wind starts to die down, maintenance teams will carry out assessments to buildings and facilities to identify any damage, flooding or defects caused by Storm Eowyn.
There has been some damage to the roof of The Time Capsule in Coatbridge, which will be assessed when it is safe to do so but the service may be impacted. The Centre Cumbernauld will also remain closed to the public until it is assessed on Saturday morning.
