We interrupt your scrolling to announce that The Aurora is now accepting submissions for the 2023/2024 academic year!
As your Liberal Arts blog, we are The Aurora wan to publish your work from across the academic spectrum. Our aim is to create an online space as divested as the pathways of the wonderful interdisciplinary students we represent.
We welcome blog-posts, articles, academic essays, photographs, sketches, poems, thought pieces, stories, lyrics and recipes, amongst other forms of creativity. Submissions may be of any length: feel free to bestow as much as an essay upon us or as little as a mere thought.
All posts are edited in a collaborative manner between the writer/artist and the editors of The Aurora. Publications may also be anonymous, should you so wish. All submissions will be posted from October onwards.
Please send your submissions to [email protected], or feel free to DM us with any queries. We are more than happy to provide writing prompts and advice or inspiration.

Join the Criminology, Philosophy, Liberal Arts and Archeology & Anthropology Society for an evening of sparkle and shine at our joint Winter Formal! Ticket sales are now open!
Location: Revolution (59-63 Baldwin Street, St Nicholas Street, Bristol BS1 1QZ)
When: Tuesday, 13th December. 6pm - 9pm (You are welcome to stay later! Revolution will be open until 2am)
What: Join us for an evening of sparkle and shine at Revolution! We will be hosting a winter formal to remember. Included in your ticket price is a buffet meal, a glass of fizz on arrival (soft drinks available), music and dance floor!
Dress Code: Sparkle and Shine- cocktail dresses and shirt & tie!
Tickets:
£20 for Society Members (get your free membership here Liberal Arts Society @ Bristol SU)
£22 for Non-Members and Plus One/Guest tickets!
