🌟 THE GIFT is out now! 🌟

πŸŒ„ Tired of constantly working hard, a poor painter encounters the legendary Dokkaebi who gifts him the life he has always dreamed of as a rich and famous artist.

πŸ’°But the painter soon learns that his gifts come at a price and perhaps his new perfect life is not all it seems to be.

🌞 Vividly illustrated in a style that combines minhwa, traditional Korean folk art, with pop art, THE GIFT is an engaging fable about gratitude and appreciating the beauty in life.

ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT | TATE PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES out now! 🌟

This is the second set in this series - a powerful celebration of photography by some of the most significant photographers in the world today.

From left to right:

β–ͺ RICHARD MOSSE: Comprising film and photography made over three years spent in the Amazon rainforest it has been described by the Economist as β€˜Powerful and urgent – a reminder of art’s ability of shift perceptions.’

"I don't think a good Wallis is representational. It is simply REAL." β€” Ben Nicholson

β›΅ Alfred Wallis was born in 1855. A Cornish mariner and scrap metal dealer, Wallis was a self-taught artist and began to paint around 1925, his 70th year, following the death of his wife three years earlier.

πŸ“š At the end of his life, whilst living in the Penzance poorhouse, he produced three extraordinary sketchbooks β€” brought together here for the first time β€” that offer remarkable insight into Wallis's art of memory made tangible.

πŸ–ŒοΈ Introduced by curator Andrew Wilson, ALFRED WALLIS SKETCHBOOKS is a treasure trove of illustrations that shine new light on Wallis's inspiring legacy, and his vital contributions to the development of modern art in Britain.

βš’οΈ Principally known as the main protagonist of the Constructivist movement in the 1920s, Russian artist Naum Gabo (1890–1977) created some of the most inspirational sculptures of the twentieth century.

🌍 He travelled extensively to the hubs of modernism in Europe, spending time with the de Stijl, Bauhaus, and Mondrian’s Abstraction-Creation group β€” later moving to Cornwall, where his influence on the St Ives group can be seen in the work of Barbara Hepworth and Peter Lanyon, amongst others.

πŸ“• Containing over 140 colour illustrations, including photographs from private archives and the artist’s family collections, our dedicated monograph is an accessible and comprehensive guide to Gabo's life and work.

πŸ³β€πŸŒˆ Born in South Africa, Muholi came to prominence with photographs that sought to envision Black le***an, gay, bisexual, trans, q***r and intersex lives beyond deviance or victimhood.

πŸ“· A self-described visual activist, Muholi’s work challenges hetero-patriarchal ideologies and representations β€” presenting the participants in their photographs as confident and beautiful individuals bravely existing in the face of prejudice, intolerance and, frequently, violence.
