Should I Finish My Current Level 4 Qualification in Lettings & Property Management?
If you’ve already started your Level 4 qualification in Lettings & Property Management, you might be wondering whether it’s worth completing now that the qualification has been discontinued and the Level 4 exam in Property Agency is in place.
Here is what you need to know:
1️⃣ Should I Finish the Existing Level 4 in Lettings & Property Management?
Yes, if you’ve made progress, we strongly recommend you continue. Completing the current qualification:
Utilises the hard work you’ve already done.
Keeps you on track for recognition, including fellow membership criteria for professional bodies.
Gives you a regulated Certificate of Higher Education, equivalent to the first year of a bachelor's degree.
2️⃣ How Long Do I Have to Finish It?
You have until the final exam window in March 2026 - with 3 windows in 2025 to take your remaining unit exams.
3️⃣ What If I Haven’t Started Yet?
Take a look at the new Level 4 in property agency management. The updated qualification, introduced in March 2023, provides a generalised pathway for agents across various disciplines, not just lettings or sales focused and supports career progression into management, supervisory, and leadership roles.
Let’s discuss; are you currently completing a Level 4 lettings qualification or working on the new property agency management exam? Share your thoughts below! 👇

💡 Stamp Duty Changes: How Could They Impact You? 💡

The Chancellor's proposed updates are set to affect home movers, landlords, and investors. Here’s the key information:
🔹 Current SDLT thresholds: No Stamp Duty on homes under £250,000 (£425,000 for first-time buyers, reverting to £300,000 after 31 March 2025).
🔹 From 31 October 2024: The surcharge on additional properties rises from 3% to 5%, and businesses buying properties over £500,000 will pay 17% (up from 15%).
Impacts:
Higher costs for landlords could reduce rental housing supply.
First-time buyers may benefit from reduced competition.
🔹 Business rates: Small business rate relief continues, but retail and hospitality discounts drop to 40% in 2025 (from 75%).
Join the conversation! Will these changes help first-time buyers or create challenges for landlords? Let us know your thoughts! 👇

🚨 Are Your Property Listings Compliant with Trading Standards? 🚨
Did you know that over 133,000 homes currently on the market in the UK are missing critical material information, potentially leading to delays, wasted viewings, and even failed transactions? 🤔
A recent analysis by Moverly has revealed some concerning statistics:
📌 4% of property listings lack tenure information (e.g., leasehold or freehold).
📌 25% of listings are missing essential parking details—information that’s crucial for buyers.
📌 In cities like Glasgow and Newcastle, non-compliance with parking information climbs to 36% and 31% respectively.
This is about more than just meeting legal requirements—it’s about providing transparency, protecting your buyers and sellers, and ensuring your agency’s professionalism.
Here’s why this matters:
✅ Quicker Sales: Clear, compliant listings help reduce the time it takes to sell a property.
✅ Reduced Costs: Avoid unnecessary viewings and prevent failed transactions.
✅ Increased Trust: Position your agency as a leader in transparency and customer care.
