Today, we are thrilled to announce that Friends of Downe Activity Centre (FoDAC) has officially completed the purchase of Downe Activity Centre from the Scout Association. The keys are in our hands, and the site now belongs to us!
In seven days, it will mark exactly four years since TSA announced the sale of this historic and beloved site. Over these years, we’ve encountered extraordinary people, shared moments of laughter, tears, joy, and celebration—and this is only the beginning! A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us and believed in this. You’ve been the heart of this journey, and we wouldn’t be here without you.
But now, we need your energy and support more than ever! Saturday 9th November will be the first workday of a brand-new era for Downe Activity Centre, and we’re calling on as many of you as possible to roll up your sleeves and join us.
