Podcast Episode 5 : Olivia Rides Her Bike Across Two Continents SOLO - Out now on all streaming platforms!
We met Olivia not even 1 hour before filming this podcast. She strolled into the hostel we were working at in La Fortuna, Costa Rica, on her bicycle, covered in dirt and ready for a hearty meal. She asked if she could eat dinner with us, during which we learned she had been riding her bike all the way from Patagonia, Argentina, 8,000 miles south, all by herself. Her goal is to make it all the way back up to her hometown, Boulder, Colorado.
Immediately, our jaws dropped as we heard the crazy stories she had - so much so, we had to ask her to be a guest on the podcast. I never dreamed she would make the time, considering she left for her next destination at 6 AM the next morning. She graciously agreed in exchange for a couple of beers. Olivia has 4,000 miles left in her journey - that being said, she's been living off of her own personal savings throughout this adventure that has now been a year and 4 months long. As you can probably guess, funds are running dry. If you're able and interested in supporting her incredible adventure, please take a look at her Patreon for a monthly subscription or make a one-time donation on her Venmo (both linked below). She also has a personal blog you can subscribe to keep up with her journey!
