Just a few edits from today’s spec work!

Had a lot of fun playing about with the manual focus on my Helios 44-M with these photos - a long way to go on the learning process but loving every minute of it!

Also tried out some different lighting techniques using the 200x to create the light coming through the window - really happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to try doing this again!

Couldn’t resist the excuse to use some of my favourite Welsh whiskey too!

New lens day!

I’ve recently purchased a vintage Helios 44-4m lens and took it out for a test spin today! It’s famous for its swirly bokeh which makes for a cool effect in camera! Can’t wait to use this on some jobs and projects!

Recently I had the pleasure of working with the to update some website photos! Here’s a couple of my favourite ones, this was a really fun and creative shoot in a stunning location!

Trying to get the drone shot to stay still in strong winds was hilarious, but the mini 3 pro always comes through!

Some various behind the scenes photos of some of the projects I’ve been working on recently!

It’s been a bit manic on the editing front recently so I’ve been a bit quiet on socials, something I’m really hoping to get better at! (Aren’t we all?!)

Anyway! Here’s some of the cool stuff I’ve had the pleasure of working on recently! Firstly, some photos and videos for the - highly recommended - I did manage to sample a few beers 🍺

I’ve also shot a documentary style video for Songtime CIC which is a charitable organisation that my dad runs which was very wholesome to film!

And finally some bits from the Monarchs Blues Band video shoot I did at - the video should be live in the next couple of days!

A lot of work still to do but it’s been loads of fun and I’ll definitely keep you guys more updated as things are finished up and released!

Last Thursday I had my first ever concert videography experience shooting the wonderful and epic at

Highly recommend checking these guys out, ace band with awesome songs, epic soundtrack whilst I was running round like a lunatic trying to capture everything! 😂

I also took a few quick stills from the night I thought I’d share on here. Can’t wait to get cracking editing the footage!

So I’ve decided to take part in Saxophonique’s 12 Days of Christmas challenge, so here’s day 1 - quite late in the day 😂I’m Tom - owner of Pickering Street Studios. We create all kinds of different video content, from event videos, product videos, explainer videos, promo for bands - you name it, and we’ll make it! I started off making off little promo videos for @pedaltonesmusic and my passion for photos and video grew from there!
