And we're back! After some much-needed time off over the festive season, the Caterham Independent team is back, and raring to go! We can't wait to get going on February's edition...not to mention all the big plans we have for 2022, including the launch of our sister paper, The Oxted Independent!

Tandridge Voluntary Action recently received a Certificate of Appreciation from The Surrey Lieutenancy.

On Wednesday 24 November, the Tandridge Voluntary Action (TVA) team were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, to thank them for the hard work and dedication they showed to their local community during the pandemic.

The Caterham Independent meets... Nicky Forster.

Former professional footballer and manager Nicky grew up in Hurst Green. He now runs The Spot Wellness Centre, in Godstone, and is also The Goal Setting Coach, helping individuals and businesses achieve success.

As a professional football player, with stints at clubs including Birmingham City, Reading, Ipswich Town and Hull City, Nicky Forster considers himself lucky to have lived in some beautiful places. But Surrey, and more specifically, Oxted, will always be his home.

If you spend time in Oxted, it is possible you already know Max White Artist. He has lived there all his life, attending Oakhyrst Grange School and The Hawthorns School, and he may well have served you a cappuccino when he worked in a local coffee shop. In recent months, however, it is more likely you have spotted him in Master Park, paintbrush in hand, creating one of the plein air landscapes he is today fast becoming renowned for.
