Galloway Food Hub have extended their order pick up times at The Glenkens Community Centre for a trial period, and have later options available on request. See their post for details 👇

You can now pick up your orders from the Glenkens community centre between 3 and 5pm on collection Friday's. The next one being the 23rd August, for those ordering this weekend.

As some of you may know we also offer a later collection, post 5pm on request.

This is a trial to offer increased convenience to more customers whilst still allowing us to work effectively. Happy shopping!

The Amazing Summer Roadshows are back for 2024, bringing free pop up community events to children, young people and families in local communities throughout Dumfries and Galloway.
Sessions are running in either the afternoon 1pm – 3:30pm or in the evening 6pm – 8:30pm. Please note, Roadshows are aimed at providing free activities for children and young people who live in the local area up to the age of 18.
Events are FREE, no sign up is required in advance (contact information for an appropriate adult will be needed by children aged 11 and under who are taking part) and activities include music, gaming, sports coaching, outdoor games + more. Refreshments will be provided at all Roadshow sessions but please note toilet access is not guaranteed for attendees taking part.

Logs have been flying out of the shed this week! Check your stores and order in good time to be sure not to run out.

We've also fulfilled a range of sawn timber requests from local timber, keeping the road miles down - also let us know if you would like products made up, such as logstores, wildlife boxes etc, we're handy with hammer and nails too! 😊

Dumfries and Galloway Council have received official confirmation from trade unions that the strike action set to take place in Waste Services from Wednesday 14 to Wednesday 21 August 2024 (eight days) has been suspended.
