🥧🎄Are you a mince pie traditionalist or ready to embrace the wild world of festive flavours? 🎄🥧
Back in the day, I remember mince pies being all about shortcrust pastry, classic mincemeat, spices, and maybe a cheeky splash of brandy 🥃 But now? The options are endless! Flicking through the M&S food book (my annual festive ritual), I spotted frangipane and sloe gin varieties 😊
A good few years ago, I discovered mince pies with icing on top and I was addicted! How had I not tried these sooner?
Then a few years ago (probably longer than a few🤔), Justin and I stumbled across Heston’s chocolate and sour cherry crumble mince pies 🍫 Problem was, no Waitrose nearby 😟 So, naturally, I begged a friend from Bristol to bring us a stash when she came to visit West Wales. Don’t worry, we didn’t just use her as a pie courier—we fed her too! 😊
Anyway, I guess I’m interested to know...
