Nobody likes hearing it, but negative feedback doesn't have to be scary. Here's how to handle it! 🙈⬇️

🛑 Pause: Take a breath before replying. Remember, the feedback is about the situation, not you. Keep your tone professional and objective.

🤝 Empathise: Show understanding and acknowledge the person’s perspective. A little compassion can go a long way in diffusing tensions.

🛠️ Resolve: Shift the conversation from complaints to resolution. Clearly outline the steps you’re taking to address the issue.

📈 Improve: Look for valuable insights in the feedback. Use it to refine your strategies and strengthen your offering moving forward.

TikTok Bank Update: President Trump has signed an executive order granting TikTok a 75-day extension to comply with a law that requires a sale or ban of the platform ⬇️

The order was among a slew of directives Trump signed on Monday evening.

Our feeds may be nonstop TikTok news, but it’s also an interesting time for Instagram with a host of changes just announced by Adam Mosseri 📲

1. Meta announces a NEW VIDEO EDITING APP called ‘Edits.’

2. New tall profile grid. You likely noticed this weekend or maybe you were part of the early test… The new image ratio is 4:5.

3. Instagram is working on a new tool to customise thumbnails + easily re-order your profile grid.

4. Coming soon: the ability to post directly to your grid and bypass the feed. 

5. Highlights are moving to the grid with their own tab.

6. Instagram Reels are officially expanded to three minutes (from 90 seconds).

7. New feature in the Reels tab: tap on the top right to see a dedicated feed of reels your friends have liked or added a note to and instantly start a conversation with them in the DM’s.

🌟 Big News About TikTok in the US! 🌟

The future of TikTok in the US is on the line. By 19th January 2025, the app could be banned unless its parent company, ByteDance, sells it to a US-approved buyer.

Why the urgency? US officials have raised national security concerns, claiming the app might be compelled to hand over data about its 170 million US users to the Chinese government. (TikTok denies this, of course.) But if nothing changes, here's what might happen to people who have already downloaded the app or intend to:

❌ No future updates or bug fixes
❌ No new downloads
❌ And eventually, no TikTok at all

There could be a lifeline though. Following his recent election win, Donald Trump has called on the Supreme Court to delay the ban while he seeks a “political solution.” Whether this will save TikTok remains unclear.

What would a TikTok ban mean for creators, businesses and users? Would tighter restrictions on the platform be a better option?
We'll wait and see...

A beautiful new wedding brochure for designed by our ever so talented in-house Graphic Designer & Campaign Manager Lindsay ✨💖

Our client wanted something fresh, modern and clean to complement their brand refresh and were delighted with the finished result.

We created all of the copy for the project and incorporated stunning photographs captured by a host of incredible local photographers and organised printing through the ever fantastic 📸 👏🏻

Does anyone still use Facebook? 🤔

We're often asked this question and the answer for right now is YES ✅

Facebook is still the number 1 social media platform globally and undoubtedly has the best (and lowest cost) advertising features making the barrier to entry low for anyone who wants to get started.

As of now the top 5 most popular social media platforms by monthly active users are:

1. Facebook - 3.06 billion
2. YouTube - 2.70 billion
3. WhatsApp - 2.40 billion
4. Instagram - 2.35 billion
5. TikTok- 1.67 billion

Facebook is putting a lot of efforts now into developing features that connect with a Gen Z audience with a greater emphasis on local community information, videos and Facebook Groups, among other things.

A redesign is also coming in line with this so we expect Facebook's entertainment options to look a lot more like TikTok's offering which should bring a new generation of users.

Overall, Facebook should be an important part of your social media strategy if it isn't already and keep an eye on our page for updates as the platform rolls out new changes....
