Here’s the Race Schedule for the final Round of this winter’s Johnstone Jets Monsters of Track Series.

The Girls are knocking it out of the park with their entries so we’re splitting the Youth A and B Girls categories. We’re also keeping the separate Women’s races.

We haven’t does this before (and we may have to tweak a few durations on the day) but we’re gonna go for it.

If you haven’t entered yet then you better get a shift on.

Anna Morris is magic 🎩🪄✨

A stunning world record in the women’s IP!

15/02/2025

Anna Morris will go for the women’s individual pursuit European title tonight, after setting a new world record in qualifying this afternoon 👑

The world champion clocked 4:28.306 in the event which is being raced over 4km for the first time this year. Teammate Sophie Lewis put in a battling ride but just missed out on the finals in sixth.

Neah Evans will go in the women’s kilo time-trial final - another event being raced over a new distance for the first time - after qualifying eighth. Iona Moir finished 18th.

Noah Hobbs will be looking to emulate Maddie Leech’s omnium success from last night - he currently sits in 11th after the scratch and tempo races.

Neah Evans achieves the Commonwealth Games Scotland qualifying standard for the Kilo for the second time with a 1:08.015 (after a 1:07.179 in Qualifying) at the European Champs. The standard is 1:08.197

The new event is certainly throwing different riders into the mix.

Luce Wheels

Those of you who follow Ava on social media might spot a change of jersey tomorrow for a week.
Ava has been invited as a guest rider to join a Junior and U23 womans team in Spain 🇪🇸 for their winter training camp 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️🚴‍♀️, bearing in mind Ava is still a Youth rider and only 15.
She is swapping her green Deeside CC kit for a pink/peach kit on the roads around Calp.
So here's to sunshine 😎🌞, new experiences and cycling on the other side of the road, which should'nt matter as Ava still still struggles with which way is left/right 🤦‍♂️

🚀 Josh Charlton FLEW round the track in today’s first session at the UEC European Track Championships, ensuring he leads the way in the men’s individual pursuit and setting his sights on a a gold medal tonight.

Teammate Michael Gill also set a brilliant time to qualify for the bronze ride off in third place, whilst Maddie Leech is well positioned to challenge for a medal in the women’s omnium.

After qualifying fifth and 13th, Harry Ledingham-Horn and Hayden Norris made good impressions in the men’s sprint. Ledingham-Horn is through to this evening’s quarter-finals, but Norris was just edged out in the 1/8’s.

Hey!

The West Lothian Grand Prix looks to have a cat 4 and e/1/2/3 women's races first weekend in April.

For the crit series, we're hoping to have 6no women's races (format tbc) and 3no non series cat 4 women's races.

The intention is to bring the cat4 races forward to earlier in the series to give new racers a chance to race with other riders of a similar level before going straight into a 3/4 race (for example). We're close to finalising details so will be sure to share soon!

We're also organising a call on Monday to discuss what would make the series more appealing to women, that's open to anyone that has thoughts on how to increase participation!

Eyes on the prize 😎

Our men’s team pursuit team will go for gold tonight having won their heat this afternoon, with the women’s team also hunting a medal in their bronze ride off.

Lauren Bell and Rhian Edmunds are still in the women’s sprint having qualified first and third respectively, and will go again in the quarterfinals this evening.

Lyall Craig and Harry Radford both put in solid men’s kilo rides at their maiden European championships, however did not quite find a top-8 time needed to qualify for this evening’s final.

Save the date. Entries opening soon.

Bringing home the bronze 👊

Big rides from Harry Ledingham-Horn, Hayden Norris and Harry Radford as they secure a medal in the men's team sprint at their debut track euros! 🥉
