Had the most amazing night, 3 Cyclocross riders take on the Glasgow Track League Pies and Pursuits.
The format for us lads was no aero bars, no aero wheels, just ride for fun and ride minus one 😂
No frills racing 👊
Well our team of Josh Stewart , Rhu Fulton and myself managed 3rd place in the pursuit and had a blast in the process, we also enjoyed the mince pies afterwards 😂

Thanks to the 80+ festive riders who got their team pursuits and sprints on tonight. Full results and podium pics are being worked on by the track league elfs and will be posted in the next day to two.

In the meantime, the top sock award goes to team “Wishing on Astar” 🎅🏼🏆 Vc Astar

Big shout out also to all parents, holders, volunteers and Comms for making it all happen 👊🏻

Did you think we'd finished for the year? Not quite!

Our Sprinters are over at the Brandenburg Sprintcup in Germany organised by the Frankfurter Radsport Club.

It's been a strong start with Kirsty Johnson and Ellie Stone through to the Sprint Quarter Finals and Sarah Johnson is through to the Semi Finals of the Junior Keirin.

After an exceptional 2024 riding the superb Handsling A1R0evo frames, the partnership will continue into 2025, with Handsling becoming the title sponsor of the team. Alba and Handsling share the objective of providing talented riders with a pathway to the top of women’s cycling and will use the ongoing relationship to help facilitate this.

December camp✅

Great 10 days rounding off 2024 with the new team. Training, testing, meetings, bonding, and everything inbetween made for a top class camp.

Can’t wait to get started with the boys in 2025!

Two more sleeps till the World famous Pies & Pursuits with a Team Sprint topping! 🥳

Here's the schedule of races and running order of all heats. ✍️ Take a wee note of the estimated start times so you can plan your journeys in, fine tune your warm up and panic plan your race strategy. Don't lie, we know you haven't got one 😁 LOL

As per usual, there will be a derny paced warm-up 🏍️🚲🚲 on the track from 6ish BUT only for bikes with drop handlebars (this is a track safety thing so no pursuit bars in the warm up string). Also, if you haven't ridden in a derny string before but wish to warm up on the track please kindly ride well above the blue line. 👆🏻

Finally, there will be a well deserved mince pie for all riders and plaudits for the fastest, funniest and most festively dressed.

Tuesday group sessions
Wednesday open session
Thursday Group 2 and 3 sessions

Saturday sessions are on as advertised but as it’s our last club sessions of the year we will be doing Hot Chocolate and doughnuts.
So group 1 will have theirs at the end of the session and group 2/3 at the end of theirs.

So get booked up.
