We were thrilled to hand over a stack of Easter eggs to the amazing team at who popped by to collect them. These treats will be delivered to seriously ill children spending Easter in hospital - and we hope they bring a little joy and sweetness their way.

AND SHE’S DONE IT!

We couldn’t be prouder of and the incredible Rickshaw Rally team for completing their epic 1,000km journey across India in 6 days! 🚀💨

Battling insane roads, endless hours of driving, brutal heat, breakdowns, sweat, and tears - Carmela and the team took on every challenge thrown their way with unstoppable determination, all for an incredible cause. And thanks to their grit, plus the generosity of so many amazing supporters, they’ve raised nearly £105,000! These vital funds will help transform lives in India - building weatherproof schools, providing essential job training, and delivering critical medical care to women and children who need it most.

And what a way to celebrate, as Carmela is currently embarking on a 1,000km rickshaw rally across India to raise money for women and girls, proving once again that action speaks louder than words with one of her toughest challenges yet. 🚀💪

🌟 Celebrating Women everywhere this International Women’s Day! 🌟

Today, is International Women’s Day 2025 and we are shining a spotlight on the incredible women we have the privilege of working with across the industry- their talent, resilience, and achievements inspire us every day. And, of course, a huge shoutout to all the amazing women at Real SFX who make our Real SFX magic happen behind the scenes! 🎬✨

But this year, IWD is extra special for us. Our incredible company director, is marking the occasion in the most extraordinary way - taking on the challenge of a lifetime! Alongside her powerhouse teammates, and .bedgood she’s driving a tuk-tuk 1,000km across India from Chennai to Goa 🛺🇮🇳

They’re taking on tough conditions and unpredictable challenges to raise awareness and funds for women and girls in India, supporting vital projects that provide education, skills training, and opportunities for a better future. We couldn’t be prouder - she’s an absolute legend! 💪💖

and her dream team are powering through their incredible journey across India!

Here’s a glimpse of their adventure so far - navigating wild roads, unpredictable traffic (and cows) and some seriously challenging conditions. Of course, the Real SFX tuk-tuk is getting a little extra adventurous, in true Real SFX style!

Along the way, the team is visiting schools to see firsthand how their fundraising will change lives. Carmela and this incredible group of female founders are raising awareness and funds to support women and girls in India facing significant challenges. Every penny raised by Rickshaw Rally will go directly to life-changing projects, including:

✅ Building safe classrooms – constructing weatherproof, functional schools to improve education access for girls and children with disabilities.
✅ Skills training for women – providing training in nursing, IT, and trade skills to help women achieve financial independence.
✅ Maternal health support – addressing postpartum anaemia and complications through medical care, nutrition, and vital resources for vulnerable mothers.

This exciting new period drama premieres tonight at 9.15 PM on , with all six episodes available to stream on . Set in post-WWI Soho, it follows the women navigating the underground club scene and the dangers that come with it.

We loved working on this, creating all the SFX and bringing 1920s Soho to life.

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Company Director, is embarking on an extraordinary adventure….. LET’S GOA Rickshaw Rally 2025! 🛺✨

This March, Carmela will join 60 inspiring women for a 1,000km journey across India over 10 days, traveling through vibrant cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, and Panaji. But this rally is about more than just the thrill of the ride—it’s about empowering the next generation of women and girls. 🌍💪

The goal is to raise £350,000, with all funds supporting vital initiatives in education, health, and development for underprivileged children and young women in India. 🙌

We couldn’t be prouder of Carmela for taking on this meaningful challenge! 💖

Congratulations as well to the legendary Peter Kosminsky for his outstanding contribution award - a truly well-deserved recognition for his incredible impact on our industry. And a big shoutout to and the Lost Boys and Fairies team for their nomination 🌟

We’re also proud to support the , who highlighted last night that 50% of freelancers are still out of work. Their work, alongside The TV Collective and TV Mindset, was rightly celebrated with the Special Award for their tireless efforts in supporting freelancers and addressing these challenges. 💙

📣We’re thrilled to welcome two fantastic new members to the Real SFX team as part of our commitment to nurturing the next generation of creative talent. Please join us in celebrating the arrival of Rudi and Griff, our newest apprentices!

🎬 Rudi joins us as our Production Office Apprentice, to learn and support on our behind-the-scenes operations. Assisting with day-to-day workflow and operations in the office, he’ll be getting hands-on experience in our fast-paced industry.

🔧 Griff steps into the role of SFX Apprentice, where he’ll be diving into the heart of our special effects work. Learning alongside our skilled technicians, Griff will be honing his craft and getting hands-on experience of how we create all our incredible effects.

At Real SFX, we’re passionate about offering opportunities for local, home-grown talent to develop their skills and gain invaluable industry experience. Rudi and Griff will be based in our Cardiff HQ, and as their careers develop will have the opportunity to work across the globe, and we are delighted to have them on board as they embark on their exciting journeys with us! 💪✨

🌍 This week, Real SFX HQ welcomed international delegates as part of the Circular Economy Hotspot Cymru 2024, held in Cardiff. The event highlighted how Wales is at the forefront of prioritizing the wellbeing of future generations and advancing the transition to a sustainable, circular economy.

As part of the program, various site visits were organized to showcase best practices, and we were proud to be included. and led an exclusive tour of our workshop, bringing the Real SFX magic to life with live demonstrations of our sustainable physical effects techniques and innovative props. Delegates experienced first-hand how we implement creative solutions to reduce waste while still delivering world-class SFX.

We also highlighted our initiative, emphasizing the importance of community-led sustainability. By focusing on collaboration, education, resource sharing, and promoting environmentally conscious choices, we’re ensuring the shift to a circular economy benefits everyone.

GREEN UPDATE 🌳

Today we received new electric generators from eco-flow as well as a green voltage unit which we have tested out with some of our equipment. This allows us to create effects while also being energy efficient as we don’t require the use of any fossil fuels ✅

This is key in sticking to our sustainability agenda and we continue to innovate and discover new methods of creating practical effects 💥
