Today, Sugar Creative was delighted to have Faye Allen represent us at the University of South Wales’ Games Innovation Gauntlet. This annual challenge tasks MA Games Enterprise students with creating innovative pitch decks in just one week.

Faye delivered a brief focused on radically inclusive games, encouraging the students to develop concepts that embrace diversity and accessibility. She’ll be returning next week to see the incredible ideas they pitch.

A big thank you to Corrado Morgana and the USW team for organizing this fantastic event, and to Faye for championing inclusion and creativity in the games industry!

🎉 Celebrating 10 incredible years of Hampshire Cultural Trust (HCT) at the fantastic Milestones Museum in Basingstoke! We’re honoured to be here, celebrating their journey and future vision—eloquently shared by Paul Sapwell, whose inspiring speech laid out HCT’s ambitious path for the next decade.

We’re proud of our work with HCT on our multi-award-winning project 878AD: Wi******er Revealed, which turned the city into a Viking adventure using AR and the world of Assassin’s Creed. It’s been a true collaboration that fuses history, culture, and technology, and we can’t wait to see what’s next as HCT continues pushing boundaries in the arts and heritage.

🎃 As Halloween quickly approaches, we're showcasing Monsters Brawl VR!

Monsters Brawl VR was brought to life for the Meta Quest headset and was developed by Sugar Creative in partnership with Bear With Us Productions

Players immerse themselves in the fun storyline and engage with characters on their journey through a spooky yet entertaining monster world.

Monsters Brawl is also the first title to utilise our own proprietary authoring platform developed at Sugar Creative, and co-funded by Creative Wales, accelerating the rapid transformation of traditional book stories into fully interactive VR, ready for Meta Quest and Apple Vision stores.

We’ve also integrated a British Sign Language (BSL) narrator, providing equitable language options for all users. This inclusion sets a new standard for accessibility in immersive experiences and was made possible through partnership and co-funding with StoryFutures .

We are thrilled to share that we will be participating in the Beyond Conference later this year, happening on November 25-27th in Salford, UK.

Our Creative Director Will, along with Joe Gabriel, Senior Developer Relations at Niantic, will be discussing the potential of immersive experiences in creating new cultural narratives, expanding music-based content through XR interactions, and reimagining cities as limitless storytelling canvases through geo-locational content.

Our Creative Director, Will Humphrey, had a great time speaking at Innovate Local Buckinghamshire yesterday, alongside Asha Easton and James Hakersly from Cube. The conversation explored the limitless potential of next-gen XR, from med-tech innovations to educational and entertainment applications. 🎮💡

They also touched on how XR can tear up the playbook on accessibility and reimagine routes into the industry. Plus, how AI can enrich XR—whether it's recreating historical characters or democratising knowledge-sharing opportunities.
