London-based MALETKA is carving out a reputation as an eclectic producer with versatility at the centre of his sonic world. Not bound to any one sound or genre, his latest release sees him land on Breakbeats & Basslines with what is by far his best 170BPM-fuelled work to date.

A five-track drum and bass frenzy that forms the 'Same Mind' EP, MALETKA's debut on the label pivots around compelling synth work and an overriding aura of high-octane power. From the dancefloor destroying sounds of the headline track 'Same Mind' to the gritty, steppy, and intricate production behind 'No Rest. Next up on B&B, we’re delighted to announce that TEK-DIF we be debuting on the label with a menacingly dark two track single.

Drum and bass duo TEK-DIF may have grown up on different sides of their city, but the Nottingham-based producer's paths were finally aligned after they decided to study the same Audio Technology course. Now collating their combined musical expertise, they have crafted a high-octane sound defined by intricacies and idiosyncratic sound design, looking set to continue the upward trajectory that the TEK-DIF project has been on since its inception.

Introducing the artist behind our next release, B&B’s very own ADHD.

“ADHD by name, ADHD by nature; Cardiff-based producer Joel Morgan’s audacious strain of 170BPM sonics are a reflection of the diagnosis that has shaped who he is to the core.

Drawing influence from titans of the scene such as Annix, Limited, Killill, and Upgrade, ADHD's productions are abundant with energy, laced with scintillating sound design, and created with the dancefloor in mind. Whilst his sound pivots around intricately crafted basses, Joel still sets out to create a degree of uniqueness to each and every one of his tracks.

Diagnosed with ADHD during childhood, a condition that Joel once struggled to accept has now become centric to his career. His alias serves as both a reminder of who he is and an indicator of his performance style, with his hyperactive, disorderly and adrenaline-fuelled approach to DJing living in perfect harmony with his equally high-octane production style.

Joel is also the owner of the Drum & Bass label 'Breakbeats & Basslines', whose mission of bringing a "further dimension of fresh, high-octane, and idiosyncratic sounds to our already beautifully eclectic Drum & Bass scene" parallels his ambitions in the industry”.

Below are a few works from RELLIOTT explaining the inspirations behind his forthcoming release. 🖊

“Overtone consists of a series of intricately placed harmonics above the fundamental frequency; these are known as overtones. The differentiation of the overtones creates a unique timbre, to audio-visualise the bright and prosperous element of the track. Which is also used in its ambient introduction, that then meanders into its euphoric drops symbolising fluctuating tranquillity.”

After a recent appearance on Audio Addict and the release of his debut EP on Pick The Lock, we’re extremely excited to announce that OZ>ONE is now landing on B&B for the first time with his single, ‘Aqua’. Having already crafted a reputation as a unique producer who’s not afraid to push the boundaries of drum and bass, this release is no exception. A melody-infused collation of drum and bass and future bass, ‘Aqua’ is defined by its captivating juxtaposition of beautiful synth work and the domineering drums and ferocious basses that OZ>ONE has become synonymous with. Releasing exclusively to Juno Download & Spotify on October 22nd, 2021.
