The film, produced by Beastly Media for S4C, gets its world premier screening this Tuesday 8 October at Vue Cinema, Cardiff as part of the opening night celebrations for the 18th Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival. Limited number of tickets available......

"The Iris Festival is a great place to watch films and understand how the filmmakers have brought their work to screen. Most screenings include Q+A with the filmmakers, so you get to meet the directors, writers, producers and actors involved.

“The programme of talks at Iris this year takes advantage of the large number of media professionals attending the festival as well as industry professionals from Wales.

“I'm delighted to be taking part in one of the sessions celebrating the success of Lost Boys & Fairies, the ground breaking q***r Welsh drama which was shown on the BBC earlier this year."

Adam Knopf (pictured below) will be in discussion with Arwel Gruffydd who plays Cardiff drag queen Berwyn in Lost Boys & Fairies.

Filmmakers coming to Cardiff.
We have already confirmed the directors of our feature film programme who are attending the festival this year, they are: Gabriel Carrubba (Sunflower), Sarah Rotella (pictured) (Last ExMas), Ila Mehrotra (India’s 1st Best Trans Model Agency), Jacquie Lawrence (Life of Riley), Timothy Despina Marshall (In The Room Where He Waits) and Rachel Dax (Greer Ralston – Giving It All To Art). We will shortly be confirming additional guests attending the feature screenings including actors, producers and writers.

The largest group of filmmakers visiting Cardiff for the 18th edition of the Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival are the short filmmakers in competition for the main Iris Prize and Best British awards. When you add the film makers screening out of competition on opening night and the Irish focus in partnership with Gaze in Dublin we have a lot of talent in town. And we will be publishing the names very soon.

You get to see films at Iris, but you also get to meet the people involved. Join us this October for some industry talking and discover Cardiff charm.
