If you are a student at the University of Kent, you are welcome to join InQuire at any time. To become a writer, photographer, IT assistant,

etc., all you have to do is buy your membership (£5) on the Kent union website: http://www.kentunion.co.uk/studentmedia/inquire/

Once you've purchased your membership, you can request to join the InQuire Facebook group: InQuire Members 2022/23. We meet every Monday at 6:15 to pitch article ideas for each section of the paper. We have the published newspaper and a website (inquiremedia.org), and for both we have nine sections: News, Opinion, Lifestyle, Features, Satire, Entertainment, Science and Tech, Culture and Sport. If you cannot make the meetings, or didn't get a chance to pick up any articles, leftover article ideas are put up on the InQuire Members Facebook group page. From here you can contact the appropriate editor and offer to write an article for them or you are welcome to suggest your own article idea for you to write. http://www.kentunion.co.uk/studentmedia/inquire/

What are we creating?

InQuire is creating an anthology as a collaborative project with other societies in order to celebrate the various creative talents of students at UKC. If you are an up and coming creative and have a poem, an essay, a song, a short story or any other creative pieces you would like to be published.

Please submit it to our Google drive which is linked in our bio by the 1st May.

Please make sure to include your full name and the title of your work in the document you submit.

Hey everyone! Hope you are doing well this term!

It’s that time of year where you get to elect next year’s InQuire committee and editorial.

Annual General Meeting (AGM) is our annual meeting where we discuss any possible reviews or changes to our constitution, announce winners of our general elections and have a formal handover. 🗳️

🗞️ Event Details 🗞️
Date: Monday 8th May 2023
Time: 7:00pm onwards
Location: Student Media Centre above Venue.

There are various of roles to fill so anyone and everyone that is interested can nominate themselves to become a part of InQuire’s 2023/24 Committee and Editorial! Please note that you need to be a member of our society to run for any positions.

If you are thinking of nominating yourself, have a read of the job role responsibilities and requirements to run and make sure you do this before nominations close:

🚨 To run it is required to complete the following 🚨
1. Choose the role you would like to run for 🤔
2. For committee positions, nominate yourself on Kent Union’s website via the link in our bio
3. For editorial positions, write a manifesto and share it via the Google Drive in our bio. This can be as creative as you want it to be!

🔑 Essentail details to include in your manifesto should answer the following:
- Who am I?
- Why do I want to be in this chosen role?
- My goals: what I want to achieve and plan to implement next year (make sure these are realistic and attainable)
- How am I suitable for this role?
