Independently Owned Family Run Retail Business Suffers £1,500 Of Losses Due To Suspected Distraction Theft Of Power Tools!

This incident happened on the 1 March 2024 at the 111 year old family run Mackay's hardware store in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.

Three male suspects entered the store with cutting equipment and detagged electrical power tools worth £1,500 from the family run business.

Once they entered the store all three males split up, two of the males distracted staff whilst the male who is featured in this video Public Appeal wearing a hi-vis jacket detagged the power tools, the suspect male then removed power tools and handed them to his accomplices before concealing tools himself and leaving the store with his accomplices without making payment.
