In the November 2025 edition we revisited the nu‑disco style , that we had written using SOS For Artists (SOSFA) tools, to build on the beat, and and the track. While SOSFA includes Lite versions of both Steinberg and Live DAWs, which are more than up to the job of mixing a track like that, most existing SOS readers will already have a preferred , and so we chose to mix this track in Apple Pro. In this article we explained how we did that, using a combination of Logic’s stock plug‑ins — of the sort you’ll find in any DAW — and some of the tasty third‑party plug‑ins included in the SOSFA subscription.

Until now, Universal Audio 's Volt range has been comprised of small, bus‑powered, desktop models with small I/O counts, no digital I/O, and basic hardware input monitoring. If you wanted ADAT expansion, or low‑latency input mixing in UA’s Console software, you’d have to step up to the Apollo range. That’s all changed with the introduction of the Volt 876.
