We encourage everyone to dress up in traditional Kerala attire to add to the colorful ambiance of the event.

Date: 14th September 2024

Time: 9am -8pm

Venue- Netherhall school, Queen Ediths Way.

Please RSVP by 10th September to confirm your attendance so we can plan the festivities accordingly. Please come along with your family and friends, as the more, the merrier!

Dear CKCA friends and families

I really hope you are keeping well and in the midst of holidays and travelling around meeting friends, relatives, and visiting new places.

It is with immense pleasure and gratitude, the executive team would like to invite and welcome all our greatly respected members and friends to the long waited summer BBQ event and sports activities. It is organised on 14th July Sunday from 2pm -8pm.

Venue is the Cherryhinton recreation ground right opposite to the Indian Palace on the high street. There are plenty of parking facilities on the roads near to the ground, Leete Road and Drayton Road.

Also there are free parking facilities behind Tesco Express and Cherryhinton village Leisure centre.

It will be a fantastic day out with full of fun and activities for adults and children.

The sports team is packing up many exciting items for all of us to join.

Of course the food hub will have plenty of dishes to taste the taste of Kerala.

The cost of the event entry will be adult £10 and school year 1-6 £8.

We are really looking forward your presence on the day. Please complete the google form for us to get the numbers of attendees.

During the busy schedule of Cambridge life, we believe you are enjoying the summer sunshine and the Tulips and Lavenders of British summer.

Nevertheless, it is a great opportunity that over the last 25 years many of us settled in Cambridge. The Cambridge Keralites grew up a lot in all aspects, bringing up their family and culture without losing the Kerala heritage and tradition we learned to follow in our everyday life.

We are proud to highlight CKCA truly upholding our traditional and cultural values, we have witnessed and celebrated since our settlement begun. It is inevitable humans love socialising, it is equally important that we treat ourselves in harmony and share each other and learn from sharing our good moral values.

We are extremely delighted and humbled to see that our next generation growing up in good discipline and educated from good universities and securing good jobs. We should be proud of our next generation and their success is the achievement after all we gained from this migration. As we the bridge between the two generations we left behind our family back home forever, our duty to ensure that our second generation absorb and embrace our values and culture as they begin to build family life.

We hope you agree with our assessments and thoughts why we have the cultural associations and how we utilise it for our future generations.

We are honoured to be part of the newly re-elected CKCA team. We are really grateful to the community and the members joined together to lead the prestigious organisation for next one year in the office.

We shall continue to maintain our good strengths, spirit, admiration and organise future events with all our spirit and support as always.

Thank you very much from all of us and being part of the CKCA family.
