Delta Rays
I managed to capture this shot as our safari group was heading back to our camp in the Okovango Delta. We were walking with our backs to the setting sun and as we were about to board our canoes (locally known as 'Mokoro's'), I realised I had accidentally left my water bottle on the shore behind me. As I turned to retrieve it, I saw this awesome hue of the golden sun diffused through the rising mist and dirt of the African plain. At the expense of holding up the rest of my safari group, I simply had to get the shot, and so framed the filtered sunlight against these three trees, making for a shot which truly plays with light.
