Well Grammy® voting ends today. Irrespective of whether FADE gets through to the next round of voting, I feel chuffed and honoured to have the album nominated in not one but two categories; "Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant album" and "Best Album". Okay, so I dont think I'm likely to beat Beyonce in Best Album category...but who cares...like I said, just to be part of the process has been fun. I've listened to a lot of interesting music in the categories I'm involved with and genuinely wish everyone nominated the very best of luck. 🎹🙏

So 'Invocations' has been and gone. From an artistic point of view and from an enjoyment point of view it was a complete success. Everyone had a good time and the audience, particularly in the afternoon when it was larger, enjoyed the mixture of folk music, poetry and stories. There was even some fun & games with a lengthy raffle! Thanks to Celandine, Carys Triangle, Justine de Mierre Music and Louis de Bernières plus Master of Ceremonies Robin Herne who tied all the afternoon (and evening) acts together with his wonderful storytelling. Sadly though, the evening performance wasn't as well attended which was a shame because those who missed it missed three excellent performances from Carys, Ron Boots & David Wright with their guests Frank Dorittke, Stephan Whitlan and Carys. Not sure yet how much was raised yet for MENCAP but will post as soon as we know. Here are some pics from one camera for the track Elemmírë. 🙏🎹

11:30pm and the end of a very, very long day preparing for tomorrows Invocations event here in Bungay Folk Festival. Sound sounds great and lighting looking lovely for the evening performances. If you fancy a day of varied entertainment - folk and soundtrack style music, local folklore and all for a good cause - MENCAP - then please come and join us...tickets a very reasonable £12 or £8 concession...and we do a family of 4 ticket at £25. There is beer and wine...raffle...c'mon...you know it makes sense...come and join us...you'll have a great day. Tickets sold on the door as well as from the website. 🎹🙏
