Shooting whilst walking backwards, alongside a cornice on a narrow snow track at over 6000m altitude is one of my favourite filmmaking moments to date.
Being spotted by number one bhai ji, our lovely, local guide whilst I was shooting heading up to the summit of Kang Yatse II with guide , in the Indian Himalayas. We had a beautiful sunrise and unreal views like I’ve never seen - big mountains to the horizon in every direction.

✨ I’m excited to be running a Beginner’s Documentary Filmmaking workshop at .pearl.exchange Friday 22nd - Sunday 24 March.

I’ll be teaching you how to create your own micro documentary. We will go through the process of drafting ideas, planning a shoot, shooting an interview, and filming supporting b-roll. Then as the director, you will direct the edit of your own film, overseeing the process and picking up editing skills using professional software as we go. Then as a group we’ll watch and evaluate our films to get them ready for screening at our film night and awards ceremony!
