CREATIVE FREELANCERS IN WECA REGION CAN APPLY FOR GRANTS OF UP TO £2,000!
The creative industries are one of the fastest growing parts of the economy. The sector is built on an army of talented and skilled freelancers – from the film director to the games designer, the potter to the sound engineer. Of the creative workers in the sector, 47% are self-employed, compared with 15% across the workforce as whole.
Freelancers have to make hard and fast decisions about how they use their time, dictated by the employment opportunities available to them at the time. There is little opportunity for freelancers to take time to develop their skills or learn a new creative practice. This grant programme will support freelancers to develop their skills and explore new ways of working, in turn helping address some of the skills gaps in the sector.
The resilience of creative freelancers will be improved by funding individuals up to £2,000 to deliver specific activity that will enable them to develop their product, service or creative practice. APPLY NOW!
