Last week we held our 6th annual charity football tournament at Goals Bristol South and what a day it was!

In support of our charity partner 1625 Independent People, we raised £2,800 and we can't thank everyone enough that took part.

Huge thanks go out to Armadillo, RWK Goodman, enable recruitment, Torchbox, true, Proctor + Stevenson, our runners-up Kerr Office Group and our triumphant winners SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment. We couldn't have done it without you.

Unfortunately, we didn't bring football home and we won't mention the scorelines (we lost pretty convincingly on more than one occasion!). 🏆 👏

Maybe next year will be our year!

It is with great sadness we have to report that our AccountingWEB editor at large John Stokdyk has passed away suddenly.

John was a colossus in the accountancy world, a talented writer, editor and musician who was always generous with his time and expertise, and a great friend and colleague who the team at Sift will miss more than he could possibly know.

A tribute to AccountingWEB editor at large John Stokdyk, who sadly passed away on Wednesday 21 June.

This weekend one of our Sifters, Wes Terry, laced up his running shoes and took to the streets of Bristol for the Half Marathon. 🏃‍♂️
